Its looking good, called main tnt number a couple of times and spoke to different people including the local depot and all are saying tomorrow. No holds as they have so many to deliver.

Yah, I think TNT are starting to get P***ed off!

When I called the dude said (quite abruptly may I add): Have I not just spoke to you!?
To which I replied: No
he asked for a consignment number which I gave to which he said: I will put you through to someone on international team - are you sure have I not just spoke to you!?

Currently on the phone to Apple as I type this..... speaking to a senior apple rep..informed then of the TNT conversation stating they had not received the actual goods yet .... she did confirm this however when I then told her of the delivery date being Saturday or Tuesday she stated no not at all i have you for delivery on the 28th and there are no issues.... I then told her my account was showing a delivery of the 27th... = system glitch.

She says all orders will be delivered on the 28th and its full systems go with no expected impact they are dealing with a dedicated team at UPS & TNT and the other TNT staff have no real knowledge of whats happening hence the confusing mixed replies.

Looks like its the 28th folks.

Mines is currently showing in transit at Nuneaton...

mine too (when looking at the international tracking), but i think like you on the UK site it says please call and then we both got told they don't even have them yet.

Mine all along has been with "TNT UK Ltd" and so i haven't been tracking it from china etc, it's been in the country "all along" as far as i know - yet now they tell me no delivery until "saturday or tuesday" as they'll only get the stock on friday.

At the moment i'm placing more [perhaps blind] faith in the international site which says in transit in nuneaton than the other one

I'd be shocked if they didn't arrive tomorrow. TNT aren't going to hold them, I've spoken to my local depot and they confirmed that they're aware of a large number of iPad shipments arriving late tonight/early tomorrow morning and that there are no holds on these. He also said that they'll show as out for delivery starting around 6-7am tomorrow morning.

MY NUMBER FINALLY WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but it does say to phone them too, apple site says tomorrow delivery but i cant see it to be honest!

so, do i ring them??? or do i not???

apparently their getting peed off with all the calls now so i dont wanna make things worse

what to do...... what to do.....

So did yours start in the UK then, and hasnt been showing up on tracking at all till recently?

yes, correct (for me). shipped with tnt uk ltd, no tracking until today, then tracking on the tnt international site, and then in transit in nuneaton, and then please call on the tnt uk site, which lead to the "we don't even have them yet" line.

I'm sure this is all going to go horribly wrong, but: I'm with TNT UK. My Apple Store tracker is saying delivery tomorrow, and TNT is saying in transit from Nuneaton. I looked up my local depot and realised it was 5 mins’ walk from me, so I called TNT and sat on hold for almost 20 minutes, before speaking to an extremely nice and patient lady who didn't seem remotely pissed off that I was yet another iPad caller, and instead apologised I'd had to wait for so long. She confirmed I was waiting for a package from Apple, confirmed it was on the way to the depot, said that they could hold it for me to pick up, put me on hold while she called the depot to get opening hours for collection (9-8.30), advised me to ring in the morning to double-check before setting out, and took my email address to send me a confirmation that the depot had been notified I wanted to collect, which arrived a couple of minutes later.

I didn't really get told much when I called mate just to call 8:30am tomorrow morning and they would have a better idea on when it was actually going to be delivered to me! Lol if your like me and panic call it'll put your mind at rest but I think the 'please call' is just for more information but if you track it on the international section through TNT with your delivery reference number it doesn't say please call in status but in transit

Call them!!
If you do, let us know the result.

Mine says the same. Not sure if 'please call' means there is a problem, or call if you want a status update.

Apple site says 27th
TNT Intl says 26 May 2010 02:33:54 Arnhem Hub Shipment In Transit.
TNT UK says 'please call'

Same for a lot of us I believe.

I've been off the forum for a few days, so this is probably old news by now, but the App Store (via iTunes) now has the proper iPad button and is organised now so you can choose which apps you want to view. I only just noticed. Sorry if it's old, but I thought it was worth mentioning incase anyone else missed it.

Unless people want to give special instructions to TNT or UPS I dont think there is much point people calling them tonight.

Identical for me..

Mine is exactly the same.. just been updated to say that it's going to be delivered by UPS yesterday. Now that's what I call fast delivery!

We're in limbo land now. Everyone else on UPS who received billing info after us are getting tracking updates. I guess they think they already delivered our iPads so are off the hook :p

It looks like the local TNT depots are all geared up to deliver tomorrow. Apple are giving out very mixed signals. One side saying Friday at the earliest whereas the other side saying tomorrow, confirmed in many peoples tracking information. I think it's 50/50 at the moment. It's still early in the day in the US. There3 is still a possibility that they will instruct the carriers to hold till Friday. If they do then I think they are shooting themselves in the foot. So many mixed messages many coming from their own tracking site and operatives.

I dont think it would be too serious a foot wound, as people would get annoyed but then as long as their iPads turn up by Friday they will forget the pain and just get on with using their iPads?

UPS finally updated from "billing info.."

My UPS finally updated! My O2 sim card has just been scanned in Tamworth! Strangely the iPad has not been updated yet. Apple still claim my iPad will be delivered by yesterday. Where is my flux capacitor when i need it??:D

Hi all!
This will be a really n00bish question but how do I know if my iPad is with TNT/UPS and how can I track it other than Apple? Thanks!

Go to page 1 of this thread and start reading. You'll learn everything you need to know.

I think we should all take pics of ourselves holding the ipad aloft in gleaming victory tomorrow or friday to mark the end of this marvellous thread.

Woo-hoo. Mine now shows on the UK tracker with the status of Please Call - so I did and the lady confirmed it will be delivered tomorrow. I specifically asked to confirm that it would be tomorrow and she said yes as it was on Express Delivery :D

better remember to take my MBP to work :D
