An update on the straggling ipads that were still in Arnhem at 2PM yesterday so then went back to Liege and flew to East Midlands overnight...

It made it to the UK and got scanned at 5.44AM.
It made it to my local depot (which is in the Midlands) at 7.24AM.

Im sure this was a few hours too late for it to be put on a normal van for delivery today, so I expect it tomorrow, but I suppose there is still some tiny chance they will send another van out with it later. Im just happy that it is now in the right part of the UK for me, yay.

Not gonna head to the depot and pick it up?

thinking about it... even if i do get it before college starts (11:30am) I still have to charge it fully and then sync it which could take hours... So I'll get it and be like "ok, now what? just leave it at home plugged into my macbook?" :(

People have said they are arriving with between 80% to 100% battery;)

In Hatfield, my 2 x 16GB Wifis have just been delivered a couple of minutes ago, our stores guy just brought them down to me. :)

It's here!

The nice UPS man dropped it off at my work before 9am. :D
No time to play with it until later though, really busy day on at work!
Good luck to all who are hoping for delivery today...

Gratz to all who have got theirs this morning.

Mines been through Nottingham Hub and is now out for delivery. I've only just got into work so I was wondering, do they leave any kind of slip to say that they have tried to deliver ?

It's coming from TNT uk

Yes, if they failed to deliver there would be a card asking you to contact them to either re-arrange delivery or collect from the depot.

Just arrived at 8.40 via TNT - three packages, ipad, then case, then keyboard dock and sim. It is lovely. Got to sync it now....

Oh my god. I am frantic with excitement !!!

Just checked my online tracking. Mine is at the London City depot, due to be delivered tomorrow. Looking online though, the London City depot is 0.8 miles from the very desk i'm sitting at now. The minute this lesson finishes i'm going to ring and see if I can collect today. That way I can happily ignore my students for the rest of the afternoon in a haze of iPad bliss......:)

I've setup a delivery early morning system that allows me to look out the window at the front of the house whilst remaining in the office at the back:

Macbook at front window running photobooth + wireless network + spare iMac running screen sharing on my desk = win.

I'll consider it if I can get a lift & come up with the right paperwork. Chances are I shall just wait till they deliver it tomorrow, I can survive one more day :D

You are a better man than me.

Mine is still showing as:

27 May 2010 06:44:14 East Midlands Airport Shipment Received At Transit Point.

As soon as it arrives at my local depot, they won't see me at work for the dust!!!

This is incredible.

Having told me yesterday I could collect it from the depot (which is frustratingly round the corner) TNT are now saying there are simply too many iPads there ('thousands of the things') for it to be practicable to pull mine out. So it's delivery today.

I must say the people I've spoken to from TNT have been unfailingly cheerful and helpful.

the tnt man just dropped it off, even though tnt tracking still says in transit lol.
the guy had plain white van with no tnt marking whatsoever.:D:D

And strangely I was going to do the same thing...
