I'm in the UK and specifically ordered by MBP with the US layout because I prefer it.

Then again I'm a programmer so the lack of native hash key annoys the hell out of me. Plus I always hit the bottom of the return key with my little finger (current MBP has a wear mark where I hit it). Longer shift key as well....

Not good for me lol. Took me a while to get used to it when I moved back and used Tiger in 2006.

Dedicated hash key is one of the first things I will move onto my customisable touch-bar once it arrives :)

hmm I don't know if that will help touch typers.

Spot the programmers!

I'm one too. Even typing email addresses does some people's head in.

I went for a 13" with the Touch Bar, but the delay in shipping, the price of the laptop and the LG monitor is making me think I might be better off with a 12" MacBook and a 27" iMac instead....

It might not be in the Netherlands. For the iPhone 7 via DHL, a pallet would be sent from China to the Netherlands and then split into individual packages for distribution around Europe. It is possible to find what flight you're on from China by using your delivery reference number (usually starting with an 8 and only visible in the despatch email) and using it to track air freight on the DHL site.

Just wondering, is yours still in EINDHOVEN? Only mine is now there as well.

I'm looking at the 15" MacBook Pro with this spec:

  • 2.9GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, Turbo Boost up to 3.8GHz
  • 16GB 2133MHz memory
  • 1TB PCIe-based SSD
  • Radeon Pro 460 with 4GB memory
£3,329.00 UK
$3,499.00 US

It worth flying over to the States this time and buying one?
You can go to Louisiana if you want to buy it for the list price as they refund the sales tax to international customers, but you will have to pay U.K. VAT when you get back.

Yes unfortunately. Just checked and it is still the same status and place Eindhoven.

BTW the status is Shipment information received.

This apparently means the seller has sent a request to the courier to arrange collection, the parcel has not yet been collected or received by DHL. :(

This didn't work for me buddy?

Mine is showing the status as a few of the others on here.

So in order to compare the prices you'll have to take away the VAT and apply the currency conversion rate; ergo UK £3,329 = $3249 which by my calculations is actually cheaper than the $3,499 they charge in the US. So before you even buy a ticket you've already lost $249. It doesn't seem to make any sense what you are thinking of doing.

Tbh I don't really need to do that to find out if it's a deal or not. Thanks anyway I'm sorted now.

Unless you throw the box away, pop it in a laptop bag and swap the plug adaptor for the UK one you took out with you ;)

Will just look like you are bringing your laptop back with you.
