Old thread, but interesting and still very relevant today. My take on it is if Samsung doesn't want the warranty headaches then just deny warranties on any blown efuse, but allow me to do what I want on my phone. I'm more than willing to give up my warranty for the ability to do what I want with the phone I paid full price for. The carriers get all the blame on this one, but the decision is by Samsung, look at what happened to the Tmobile Note 5.
