Now that Season 2 has dropped, I’m watching from the beginning, and although I read the series is not that true to source material, it is creative, with varied complex characters, gifted children born under mysterious circumstances, crime fighters as kids, but now adults with issues. It has high production values, an intriguing story about stopping the sudden end of the world, and an 85% audience score at Rotten Tomatoes. Great cast with special acknowledgement to Robert Sheehan and Aiden Gallager who are both fantastic.

After listening to my daughter and me talking about season 2, my mother decided to give it a try. She tends to be fussy and generally sticks to mysteries, but she’s already up to episode 6 of season 1 and totally in love.

Took the rest of us approximately 9 hours to watch all of season 2 in a single sitting. I think that’s the most together time my husband and I have spent since the pandemic began.

I too watched the entire season in one sitting, great show. I love Ellen Page lol

I keep wondering what they’re going to do about Five. That kid is due for a growth spurt at some point and it’s gonna be interesting to see how they deal with him being taller than his future self 😂

Love this show and actually like the source material... but I do like the show better. And I agree, they take great liberties with the source material, which this time worked out. I pretty much love all the characters, but five is my favorite at this point.

I like Five a lot. But after season 2, Klaus is my favorite.

Klaus does crack me up! In season one, I felt he had one of the strongest plot points with the Vietnam boyfriend, which played well into Season 2. Agreed, for me he is a very close second!!!!
I kind of felt like the storyline with his boyfriend kind of cheapened it. If he wasn’t already wacky with the cult stuff it may have had a bigger emotional punch, but the constant bickering with ben kind of pulled away from what could have been a very emotional performance like the scene from the first season where he died.

Fantastic. Finished S2 ... now we wait ...

It's got a great comic vibe (with that being the source material), but definitely an "underground" subversiveness, it's a little New Mutants (especially Chris Claremont's run with Sienkiewicz), it's got some Mignola / del Toro-esque weirdness, terrific handling of time travel, an excellent music selection, great production/acting.

The original comic was written by Gerard Way, who's also the lead singer/founder of My Chemical Romance, interesting, talented guy.

I watched Season 2 over a few days last week. Really enjoyed it and interesting to see Reginald certainly isn't who you think he might be.....

Season 1 Spoiler

I just rewatched Season 1 and enjoyed the heck out of it. Will continue S2 next week after returning home from vacation.

Based on Season 1 only, this is a good example of a time travel story you should just enjoy it and ignore the obvious paradoxes, of which primary might be as reported by 5, in the previous attempt to avoid the apocalypse which the audience did not view, why would he find the mysterious glass eye in the hand of dead Luther, when Peabody had not yet been fitted for it? Sure, it could be agued that the first time around, events unwound differently, case closed. :)

I find it impressive that he can portray a 58 year old personna as well as he does. I can look at him and see someone much older. :)

When he speaks you hear an older person’s voice! It’s really quite remarkable.

So, where do we go from finding out “Dad” is some kind of murderous space alien?

Finished Season 2, I’ll probably write more, but for now, I’ll say this, Season 2 was creative, imaginative, fantastic, recreating 1963, mixing in the Civil Rights movement, the characters are so good, the production values outstanding, I loved it.

Just one caveat, for the time travel, just stick with the main points of the plot which is *semi-spoiler* preventing the assassination of President Kennedy, which a time traveler might do, causes an apocalypse, and go from there. This is a time travel story where you might get frustrated trying to logic everything out, just go with and except what you see. :)

I’m 4 episodes into Season 3, and really enjoying this, a nice change of pace, the story focuses on The Grandfather Paradox, something associated with single time lines, that happened after Dallas. As you may know they returned to their present to find everything topsey turvey. 👍

I also like that they kept and fit in the actor who in real life transitioned to a different gender making it part of the story.
