Unable to install WhatsApp on iOS 26

WhatsApp worked fine on my iPhone 7 Plus (iOS 15). Here I am with a brand new iPhone 17 Pro Max with 1T of storage and it's impossible to install WhatsApp. While verifying my phone number in WhatsApp I get the following error message:

Something is wrong with your current version. Please go to the App Store and download the latest version.

Yeah, well, I've deleted the App and downloaded form the App Store two times already - and I still get the same message.

Oh wait. I'm in the wrong forum. I'm using iOS 26 (not 27). 27 must be the beta you refer to. I wonder if this thread could be towed to the proper forum.
