Uh...you do realise that's not the actual reason?
Seems you responded before reading the whole thread.

I was confused, I only thought the reason was for the sake of resolution.
But when @cynics posted their reasons for using the front camera, I realised my error.

…What? So the thing you say you've been using it for isn't the thing you actually use it for? You instead use it for a completely different niche purpose that another poster just mentioned. And you somehow didn't know what you actually use it for up until that point?

Yep, I'm calling troll on this one.

I could understand the other guy's reasoning, but this just reeks of you being a jerk.
So, apparently by your logic, it's impossible for someone to be confused.

Not once did I actually suggest that their reason was mine as well, their post just made me realise 'hey, maybe I was confused, maybe the reason I thought isn't the real reason I use the front camera'.

This is why I find it hard to speak my mind online, because of jerks like you, who scream 'troll' whenever something someone says, doesn't fit their perception of 'normal'.

When I look through my "selfies" folder I have 168. 3 of them I've used the same method as cynics described to take a picture of something that was between me and the iphone.

So my use case is basically I use the front-camera for selfies. Before the iphone, I used to take out thousands of dollars in camera equipment to take the same picture of let's say the back of A/V receivers much more inconveniently.

This entire thread, you've been adamantly insisting that you like using the front-facing camera specifically because it lets you take lower-resolution photos. You've stated it many times. Someone else mentions they find the front-facing camera useful for doing something completely different, and suddenly THAT is what you use the camera for exclusively and what you've always used it for.

This makes no sense. It would be like me insisting that I like pizza until someone else mentions they like celery - then suddenly I love celery and have always loved celery and how DARE you suggest I ever liked pizza.

How can you forget what you use the camera for? Couldn't you just look in that selfies folders that aggravates you so and see what you've been photographing?

Do you even get it? Sometimes people get so convinced of their belief that what they think is correct, that they will defend it. I was convinced I was right at the time, which is why I was so adamant.

Because I don't always take photos with the iOS device, and the photos that were in the 'selfies' folder, aren't exactly normal usage situations.

I'm confused on the reasons I use shoes. Someone once told me it was it keep my socks clean. Can someone tell me how they use their shoes, so I can remember that is also how I use them too!
That's quite funny.

After thinking about things for a while today, this was a rather silly thread.
Honestly, things would be much better if we could just leave this thread behind.

I'm usually better at making conversation than this, but things have been a little off the past few days.

It's okay, we all have days like that.

No harm done!

Direct translation from Swedish my folder is called self portrait instead of selfies. Even though we use the word selfie here. I guess lucky us. ;)
