What potential? It's a drawback they try to put bandaid on and hope to start a trend show me your bandaid design.
Correct. As soon as Apple can get rid of the Dynamic Island, they will. It will be Dynamic Atlantis, sunk under the ocean. At least they are making that dead space somewhat useful in the meantime.

Can confirm this is working. In fact, typing this while in flight. Very handy feature to have. Especially the countdown feature to tell me how long I have before they start boarding, and how long I have left on my flight. (Images edited to censored out some details)

Now if they would fix their inflight catering from stateside. (Meals on Polaris is just economy unfortunately, not worth getting the upgrade at all. And for this flight, flight completely full so couldn’t upgrade with my status regardless)

Had this for my flight the other day. It popped up on its own and was very convenient to quickly glance down at my phone and see how much longer we had before boarding, as well as a reminder of what gate we were. Obviously these are small conveniences, but they all add up to a more efficient way to use our phones.

I'm not aware of an IATA Designator of "NHCN" - wonder if its for UA devs to test app? Airline equivalent of 555 area code?
Nope, not a designator like 555, NHCN is definitely the start of a confirmation code you could be assigned.

Flighty works whether you're the traveler or not.
When tracking a family member (i.e. my mother or daughter), it does not work. "Track this flight" does not trigger a live action.

Worked great…until it didn’t 😭. We were on a connecting flight. On my iphone 14 Pro Max, showed up on Dynamic Island and Live Activities for first flight, but not for second one a few hours later. However, Live Activities showed up on my spouse’s iPhone 11 for the 2nd flight. Have tried rebooting and a few other things but won’t work. Definitely needs some tweaking.

Does the live activity start automatically a certain number of hours before takeoff or based on location at the airport or does it need to be triggered/launched manually?
