My 2010 Macbook Pro died in early 2024. Upgraded my setup to an M4 Mac Mini in December that year. Bought a new Magic Keyboard to go with it. Even bought clear protection stickers for the keys because I've seen how the letterings faded on other people's keyboards. Used it for a little over a month, couldn't stand the flat profile anymore. It felt worse than my Macbook Pro for some reason. So I ended up selling it and buying a Nuphy Halo96 V2. Changed out the switches, customised it with VIA mapping. I have not looked back ever since.

There's nothing like a good mechanical keyboard. It takes effort (and money) to get it just right. But when it's just right, one will go looking for reasons just to type on it.
