... well, it seems you had no choice but to buy, which saves you the annoying decision, and the wait.

EDIT: sorry, misread; going off Geekbench scores, the 2010 Mini might be two or three times faster than your old G5.

enjoy!

The new Mini is up and running (minus the 8gb RAM on the way from OWC). So far, so good. Thanks for all the advice.

Which model did you bought ?

I'm sure you are going to love it ! I used to have an Early 2006 mini and I liked it a lot! It is so small and cute ! ;)

The Mini has been bought and it's getting it's 'Mac to Mac' data transfer as we speak. I had them do the transfer because my old computer wouldn't boot up. They pulled the drive and slapped it into another machine. I had no other machine. Oh well, for $99 I reserve the right to complain if it ain't just right! I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Now it's time to hop over to OWC and get the 8gb RAM upgrade...

You should complain even if they do get it perfect. That's a heck of a lot of money just to transfer your stuff. You could have gone to Fry's and bought an HDD/USB adapter for $20 and done it yourself.
