Does ATT carry any of these awesome phones you just mentioned?

Dont want to get my hopes up. :)

That Icon looks like an awesome phone and a great camera. I currently have a Note 3 but wouldnt mind upgrading to this in the future but I really no zero about Windows Phones

It definitely carries the 1520 (but its a phablet just to be aware - but a really great one - I went from the Note 3 to it and I'm really enjoying it - the camera is awesome and call quality and reception is better than my Note 3's)

Not sure if the 930 will come to other carriers in the USA as Verizon may have exclusivity with the Icon.

Whatever replaced the Lumia 1020 this summer will likely be the big 5" handset for other carriers in the USA.

:)

I have the Note 3 so I am good with the phablet but 6 inches is pretty darn big!

That Icon looks very sleek and love the look of it.

I am very naive with Windows and unsure how often they get updated and if they have "bloat" like Samsungs do for Droid or not?

This is a great thread.

Do you know it's not that much bigger - and tell you what is really noticeable is outdoor visibility of the screen compared to the Note 3. The Note 3 was already a vast improvement over the S4 for outdoor viewing, but the Lumia 1520 is a whole step above it. Battery life is amazing, better than my Note 3 by about 25% and that was already stellar.

Also because of its size, whats great is the tap to wake feature, meaning you don't need to go near the power button to quickly turn it on. The glance view where your time and missed calls / texts counter are displayed on the screen in a lower power mode is also very cool.

They don't have the abundent bloatware of other handsets thank goodness, and carrier customisations don't really factor other than boot screen logo, and any smaller carrier apps can be uninstalled simply by pressing on them and choosing uninstall.

Wow, I have really been missing out huh?

I appreciate all that feedback and will need to go take a look here soon. Even though I cant upgrade with my Next until October.

By then there should be the 1020 successor with a 41+ mp camera :)

Well, that's quite an update. Addresses a number of the irritations I had with WP8 when I tried it a few months back. These are the additions that I appreciate the most:

1. Notification centre
2. Password caching in IE11
3. Separate volume controls
4. Apps & app data on SD card support
5. Google calender support

In fact, the only remaining irritation I think I have with the OS is the absence of an iOS-like word definition lookup feature.
