iPhone Updating IMEI blocked iPhone 4s in another country

I bought a brand new iphone 4s 64GB with 1 year apple warranty from a seller in gumtree, bought home and kept. Next day when I tried to use it, I find it blocked. The freshness of the phone is still there

Still wondering what to do, paid 650AUD to the seller. As usual seller will not respond

Anybody from overseas like to buy it? It was an unlocked phone. I tested and bought it.

there wasn't any problem updating it to ios 6

i recently bought an iphone 4s (Version 5.1.1 Model MD257X) in Bangladesh. I later found out that this phone is blocked by Vodafone Australia. The phone is working fine with all the network providers over here. I'm just wondering once iOS 6 comes out, would I be able to update it?? I'm using the phone in Bangladesh.

But I don't know as I live in another country, if I can unblock it to a portuguese network and use it normally?

blocking is country specific, so it should work. btw no one is believing your story .
