Unfortunately I lost my old iMac. While I was at work my sister was overseeing the removal of old and unwanted furniture from my mother’s house. My mother had passed away some months earlier and I had already relocated to a new place. Anyway, I had given my sister a list of things of mine NOT TO BE TOUCHED. Unfortunately she made a mistake and allowed then to take away and junk my perfectly working 2011 iMac with Adobe CS4 and a good working optical drive.

Somehow I managed not to lose my mind because I know she had a lot on her plate and didn’t do it on purpose. But I did lose a prized and truly irreplaceable piece of hardware. My M3 iMac doesn’t have a built-in optical drive, cannot run Adobe CS4 and no way in hell am I paying Adobe subscription fees to use their software.

Arrtghh!

Even though I didn’t lose it on her I lay in bed that night looking up at the ceiling thinking, “WTF!!!”

Good evening, I do not know if this old iMac is still relevant, but I will post it. My old iMac 2011 21in upgraded with a Nvidia 3GB 770m is running Sequoia 15.0.1 (24A348) very well. It runs better than Sonoma which lagged. I had installed Windows 11, but the missing drivers was a hassle.

Good morning,
I have an Imac mi2011 21.5", I started the upgrade by replacing the hard drive with an SSD and I increased the RAM to 20GB. Thanks to Opencore I was able to install "Ventura 13.7. 1" but I have problems playing videos and photos. I read that you had optimized your Imac. I would like to change the graphics card and the motherboard. Could you help me and tell me what type of material you bought. I am from France and I use the translator to correspond.
THANKS
