So I installed, went great, but I need to get the bluetooth antenanna to the wifi/bt 4.0 card now... is there a small extension available somwhere so I can hook it up? All the 'extensions' I see online are really long. Like over a meter.

I'm using osxwifi.com BT4.2 upgrade. Yes it costs a little money: https://www.osxwifi.com/product/mac...3602cdp-802-11-a-b-g-n-ac-with-bluetooth-4-2/

I'm not actually sure if this card has been flashed or modified in an anyway to work in a 5,1, but I can say that it does work and osxwifi.com support was very very good.

Note that BT4 requires a stronger signal then the original old BT built into 5,1. So they have found that the built-in BT antennae in the 5,1 is not sufficient, according to many people, for handling BT4 and BLE, etc. osxwifi also includes some external antennae stuff in the kit so that you can connect to an external antannae, but I didn't want to use that.

I found the following article with an idea switching around which antennae leads on the Broadcom go to which actual antennae, basically repurposing one of the built-in wifi attennae's for BT4 use

I can say this trick worked, so I don't have any external BT antennae, both BT and wifi are working fine so far.

osxwifi also included the following antennae in the kit, which I connected to the wifi lead which normally would have gone to one of the 3 wifi antennae in the 5,1.

I’m purchase a fenvi card, that everyone has reported success with… but I’ve yet to discover the correct method to enable handoff and full continuity support.

My findings imply that MacPro IDs do not natively support that functionality on BigSur. And to gain that functionality, the computer ID has to be spoofed.

So,
1) is that true?
2) if it is true, can anyone point me in the direction of the easiest method to spoof the ID?

I’m currently using Martin Lo’s (did I get that correct) Clover Config (Open Core) drag & drop BigSur setup.

The first step is to confirm if everything is working with native Mojave, before trying with unsupported macOS releases.

I have a similar setup with a BCM94360CD in a PCIe adapter for MacPro4,1/5,1. I have Monterey running with OCLP and wifi works fine. Have you done a OS install with the card installed? That should clear previous root patches and have the OS install correct drivers for the Broadcom card. Your bluetooth appears to be working.
