The E5-2667 8 core 3.3 GHz seems to be a sweet spot, balancing good single-core and multi-core performance; the 12 core outpoints it in multi-core performance, as you'd expect (and hope!).

There is one question that bugs me for a Long Time regarding the 2013 MP.
Can you or can you not connect Sonnets eGPU 550 case with an eGPU to that MP 6.1 ?

On the webpage it says for Thunderbolt3 only???

Wasnt there support in the past??

Is Apple intentionally screwing arround.

I would love to Know more about this, do you have an eGPU in use?

Thunderbolt 2 eGPU support has been disabled in the latest High Sierra betas, could be intentional. If so they sure are screwing over nMP owners.
