At my house, UPS never requires a signature, even when they say they will. Last year I waited around for my phone, and the guy just dropped it on my doorstep without ringing the bell.

In years past, Apple has required a signature and linked to a release form (UPS is the delivery agent where I live). This year, based on the Apple order note stating due to COVID the delivery is contactless, it didn’t seem I needed to be home and Apple doesn’t provide a link to a release form. It doesn’t seem our driver or perhaps UPS got that memo as UPS didn’t deliver it and the door tag states someone must be home and sign for the package.

I’ve been on the phone with UPS and they’re telling me Apple has requested a signature.

I’ve now been on the phone with a UPS MyChoice representative and he’s telling me there is no signature required on the package so who knows….
