I ordered a 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max, both 128 GB, early afternoon on the 17th via Verizon, but so far no progress beyond "being prepared" or somesuch nonsense. I'm checking the Verizon site...no reason to check the apple site, I suppose...or is there?

My understanding is that it acts more like AirPods, where it will only show the last location it was connected to your phone. It’s location doesn’t update while in movement.

Yes that’s how it works I think but at least you can’t forget your wallet but you can’t ping it

For those of you saying it’s still in preparing to ship its completely normal there is no shipping status only shipped then delivered so you won’t see it update on apples side until it’s in your country

Curiously, AmEx charge is still Pending and Apple Store still says PtS.

Thanks! I’m going to wait a few days and see if the option appears once the package starts moving. In years past, I always made the change a day or two before delivery day.

Just so everyone knows -- UPS has largely removed the option to pick up at a CC in an effort to reduce staffing levels for the customer counter. I believe the only way you can get the option is to call them and request it, it doesnt show up in the app or website. Also, UPS Store and Access Points are not the same thing -- and for me (in metro NY area), all of those options change my delivery date to MONDAY.

You’ll need to check Verizon’s site. I think Apple allocates certain iPhones to the carriers. These iPhones are most likely staged in the US already so you probably won’t be able to track your iPhone from China. Sit tight! I’m sure you’ll get shipping movement in the next few days.

Even though I probably won’t get my new iPhone until 7pm on 9/24, I certainly don’t want to wait another weekend! Also, I’m not even sure where the CC closest to where I live? Brooklyn is a big place, so I’m thinking I’ll have to travel far (by subway or Lyft) to go pickup my iPhone. 😅

My 13 Pro Max Sierra Blue 512 is moving! Has anyone been able to get around UPS's "masking"? This doesn't show up in my choice yet but I was able to find it with my phone number and zip code.

Thats not really the whole story with "Find My". The wallet can also update its location with ANY iOS device thats in the "Find My" network. So, if you leave your (new) Magsafe wallet somewhere and travel 20 miles from it -- but 3 hours later, someone else with an iPhone (that hasn't turned off participation in the "Find My Network") comes near it, the location will get updated. Likewise, if someone with an iPhone picks up the wallet and they haven't turn off Find My network, you can still track it. Its the same as Air Tags
