Well, UPS sucks this year. Just called to see how I can get the full tracking number of my order. I said I can find it by reference but it doesn’t give me the full tracking number. I LITERALLY got this as a response from UPS CS:

“in order for me to give you information on your tracking number, you’ll need to call your shipper on what the tracking number is.”

…

So I need my tracking number in order for them to give me my tracking number. Genius!!! 😂🤣😂

I mentioned earlier, last year it was delivered via pick-up truck....just a regular truck - not UPS...by a guy in plain clothes (even though it was "ups, showed delivered" after he came around 10am)

Oddest delivery but a nice surprise, maybe working from home perhaps because of the Covid issues?
Did have to sign... just glad I had my security camera on, viewing on iPad or else I would have missed him.

Normal UPS delivers between 2-5....but ugh, as late as 6,7, even 8pm at times around here.

Yea, this type of delivery is happening in Central NY now that Amazon’s 3,000,000 sq.ft distribution center is starting to ramp up. They are contracting out to subs that hire people to use their own vehicles to deliver. Some have a small magnetic Amazon sign on the door most don’t.

My mother (88) had a guy in a old Subaru drop off a box in her front porch, take a picture of it and left. She took his plate and called the cops.

She doesn’t use a cell phone or email. It was something we sent her. Told her to watch for a Blue Prime Delivery van.

Tough times for any type of retail delivery. Felt bad for the guy in the old Subaru, but nothing came of it.

For all of you trading in with Apple via mail.. make sure to check that the shipping labels are correct. Last year I was sent a return label for someone else, meaning if I sent it back I wouldn’t have received any compensation for my phone.

Since both my 13PM and iPad Mini are still showing as in the processing stage and won't be shipped for a while, I'm going to get on the Harley and go for a ride today. Blow off some steam, enjoy the scenery, take some photos. Looks like I'll be the one left behind this year.

Same here 6 minutes past even with the preapproval 3 days earlier and am stuck in the 10/6 to 10/11 delivery. Kind of hard to get excited also, even though in truth thats not long LOL. Time to focus on other things but probably will be not on here til mine (and hopefully yours ) show they are shipping. Hard to not be part of the opening day party LOL truly a first world problem. Enjoy your ride blow that steam off, indeed enjoy the scenery, and photos. Cheers

Are you referring to the "Send all packages here" option on the UPS site where you can redirect all deliveries to a center. You have done this and it does NOT delay the actual delivery?

A contractor. UPS and Fedex use them for the high volume times of year. Usually starting in October through December, for the Christmas rush.

Yes I am one who has the nearest store over 130 miles one way to Chicago, other stores even further from east central Illinois. So stuck with delivery to my home as option. So indeed we are stuck with those later dates who got bumped from opening day once again.

In my area you cant even go in store to get the IP13PM

I woke up at 03:00 AM and my tracking showed up. I was finally able to go back to sleep for couple of hours in peace.

For those who opted for in store pick up of their phones on the 24th, I assume my order status on the Apple site will go from ”In process” to “ready to pick up” with no other status updates in between?

No other status from Apple. You’ll notice your card being charged prior to the “Ready to Pickup”.

You should receive an email when the status changes that will include the usual store pickup instructions.
