I made myself a real expensive Manhattan last night when I used some of the Mt. Vernon George Washington rye for a manhattan. I dubbed it the $100 dollar manhattan. Have you tried / heard of Laws Whiskey House out of Colorado? They make a damn fine product, but I cannot get it on the East Coast where I am. I have to mail order it.Oh I am soooo with you! I use the same Vermouth (Canparo Antica), but for cherries, I use Toschi. Its frickin amazing stuff! Now to state where I'm doing my crime ... I'm using Old Forrester Statesman Bourbon. LOL!!! Yes yes, I know - I should be using a cheaper rye to mix. But hot damn it, it tastes awesome.
