The apple stores get restocks regularly (but not all phones each day so you might have to wait a couple of days for the “right” one). I don’t know if they keep some on the side for walk ups or if you can reserve all of them for “in store pick up”.

That’s what I did last year. Mid October delivery dates were still deep down in November. So I checked each morning if my desired phone combo was back in stock and available for in Store pickup. When it finally did, I reserved it and picked it up in the afternoon. It took me 3-4 days instead of 2-3 weeks waiting for the delivery.

I am not exactly sure if it is known “when” exactly the inventory is updated…
Maybe some more “pro” people can help out there…

But I think I checked a couple of times just before/after posted opening time.

thanks for sharing! i actually was debating on ordering this last night. i have the original airpods and they don't hold battery anymore, and it would be nice to have USB C everything lol

I am having the same issue with my Gen 1 AirPod Pros - going to be updating to the USB-C AirPod Pro 2s as soon as they get the first tiny price drop on Amazon or from any other retailer.

Apple placed restrictions on me picking up a delivery from my UPS CC a couple of weeks ago: first time they’d done that on one of my packages. I’m afraid that’s going to be the same for this iphone.

Yea certain companies have restrictions sadly like Lenovo has it too where you can only have it delivered to your work or home. No option for redirecting or ups hold

Just backed up my phone last night, I still use a cable for all major iOS updates so the 10Gbps transfer speeds in the 15 Pro is very exciting to me!

Not unusual, that’s why I always run through a quick basic set up with a new phone to check version and update if needed. Then factory reset and set up from my old phone.

I have an iPhone X, which can't get iOS 17. Will the iPhone 15s ship with iOS 17? If so, does that mean I won't be able to do the "quick start" method to move my data from my iPhone X to my new phone (since the iOS versions won't match)? I am on the latest version of iOS 16.

My iPhone 12 Pro was at 90% after less than a year and I got the battery swapped through the Advance Replacement Program for free. But my 13 Pro is at 86% and I could never get Apple chat support to authorize a replacement through AppleCare.

The new iPhones always ship with the latest iOS version, yes, so it’ll be 17. Sometimes if iOS development was behind it ships with a RC or something and you have to update it.

Still no updates from the time they arrived at ZhengZhou. No facility departures as of yet. UPS77 is airborne from Shenzen to Anchorage, but whether any Wave 1 or 2 phones are onboard is unknown. That’s the only UPS flight I saw today from Shenzen. Will keep watching.

Hmm our iPhone 15 Pro / Max units are still in ZhengZhou and last year the my iPhone 14 Pro was shipped directly from there vs Shenzhen, China. Again UPS 77 is a regular scheduled run loop from Shenzhen to Louisville, TN (SDF).

I’m planning to get the Cypress silicone case.

What are you storing on the cloud needing that kind of data? I am a minimalist, so I only store my device iCloud backups on there. I don't keep photos on my phone (I transfer them to my computer, which has its own backup drive), and I clear out text messages every night before bed. I think my biggest file is the Notes app data as I am someone that has to write down everything.

I have a problem with not deleting things. It's mostly photos and messages. This is just my iPhone alone. Not include other Apple devices.
