hello,

what are your recommendations for a good USB-C to USB-C cable for fast 20 gpbs data transfer speeds? looking for good quality/value. what are good brands? i know about anker, but they seem to be overcharging these days because they've gotten more name recognition. been seeing the brand baseus pop up recently that i have never seen before / don't know anything about. ugreen?

thanks.

You can't transfer any faster than 10Gbps from a 15 Pro, so you can just get any USB-C cable that uses USB 3.2.

I think that's the same cable that came with the both Pro models.

To the OP, I got this from Amazon and no idea how fast it is but the reviews seems good.

actually, i just saw this cable which is likely the one i will get unless i find something better in the next few days:

Cable Matters [USB-IF Certified] 10 Gbps Gen 2 USB C to USB C Cable 3.3 ft / 1m with 8K Video and 100W Power Delivery in Black
$13.99

it is exactly what i need right now. i don't see much sense in paying a lot more to get a "future proof" cable. if i ever need a better spec'ed cable in the future, i will be able to buy such a cable at a much lower price precisely because it will be in the future and what is considered a "future proof" cable today will be just a regular cable then and priced accordingly. and i will have 2 cables instead of 1 after having spent about the same amount of money.

@ro5 i was looking at that cable last week or so ago for the same reason, but it was out of stock when I went back to order. Looks like my area won’t deliver until Oct 2, but that’s good enough.

At least it has a “10” near the connector so you can tell the speed.

Thx

I’m looking for a faster data cable for my 15 PM.

I take videos off my phone and transfer to my PC using the regular USB-C cable from Apple. Videos transfer pretty slowly unfortunately.

My PC (Dell) is about 3 years old. How can I tell if my PC can transfer data more quickly using one of these faster cables suggested in this thread?

Thanks in advance!
