Oh, 3.5 inch headphone jack is still in MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, entry level iPad. Lots of Android phone still have 3.5 inch headphone jack. So, all these people who think 3.5 inch headphone jack is outdated, you need rethink.

Remove 3.5 inch headphone jack is nothing but up selling its AirPod.

Guess what, water damage will still not covered by warranty even if Apple went complete portless iPhone.
Guess what, water damage is not covered by warranty even with a portless Apple Watch that is WR 50m.

Removing the port on the iPhone is nothing but up-selling the magsafe cable.

Oh, and that headphone jack is still on a device that has tons more space, and it's also a digital port audio port. Well, Apple needs to rethink, since they demonstrated themselves that it's outdated, showing those phone switchboards in their presentation. Yet, it's gone!

It isn't unreasonable. Should Apple be liable for water damage if the device become so damaged that it sprung a leak? Assuming it was never unsealed from box but fell into the Mariana's trench should it be covered by warranty?

I appreciate Apple's effort to improve water resistance to the point that it wont fail for almost all use case but I agree with Apple... water damage shouldnt be covered by warranty.

I'd love the ability to wash the iPhone in Safeguard soap and water though. Also the ability to replace fresh batteries. I'd change them every 24 months with a model with 20% or more mAh capacity.

Then don’t advertise it is as water proof… that is simple. Give warranty if you advertise it as water proof…

Yes, Apple need to rethink about headphone jack. I am still mad over removal of headphone jack.

And yes, removing charging port is nothing about upwelling megsafe charger. Tell you want, this megsafe battery pack is inefficient. A battery pack can’t even fully charge an iPhone from 0% to 100%, let along slow charging speed.

To be honest, portless iPhone is not the magic bullet that makes fully water proof iPhone. iPhone still need barometric vent. Also as time goes by, the adhesive will loss its usefulness.

Why not? If Apple advertise it as water proof and constantly showing on the ads, Apple should cover it under warranty, not just Apple, but all phone manufacturers.
