why are there so many movie shots using 2-6 sidelight and not overhead lights. do all Americans have night vision or what?
don't they use light switches when the movies are shot.
fOR ALL mANKIND,AM SURE THE FILMMAKERS used so many sideligt that there were no roomlights used. most scenes are so dark, one can hardly see what is going on

Do you have a HDR TV?

most are shot in dolby vision.

Your TV may switch picture modes when it switches dynamic range. so just because you have it bright for SDR shows, when it switches to Dolby Vision, it may switch to a darker picture preset.

Cool, so a lot of content is dark and you can barely hear dialog anymore. The ultimate expression of this trend will just be a blank screen; then filmmakers will have really achieved something.
