everything is re-brushed except for the wheels and brakes. took like 4hrs. lemme know what you think.

btw. idgaf if you dont like lowered/bagged trucks.

here is the original.

let me know what you think!

It's a bit low! I'm not sure the car would actually move without scraping the floor.

Raise the chassis to half way up the wheels.

Not bad but the wheels let it down, they're too 'real' and it could move it's just got air (bag) suspension which is quite a big thing in the states iirc

have you ever tried re-brushing wheels? theres a reason i left them like that.

and you are correct on the air ride suspension.

because the angle of the wheels fits the angle of the truck?

there for it looks like it belongs there on the truck instead of me having to warp and distort it thus making the wheel look flat and out of place.

sure i could spend an hour or so re-brushing the wheel or finding another wheel that doesn't look so "real" then warp it so it fits and still having it look flat and out of place.

It still wouldn't move very far.

For someone who's looking for feedback you're not taking it very well ;)

yes, the wheels are out of place. either illustrate the vehicle WAY more realistically or redo the wheels. not a big deal, would be pretty easy. on another note, if you do redo the wheels, check what they are reflecting... there should be more green and grey in them.

If you gave it any ground clearance at all it might stand a chance of moving. As it is, if you project the full wheel up into the wheel arches I think you'll find they would not even fit. Nice rendering, though, on both the body and the wheels. :)

it has airride suspension, aka adjustable suspension. itll go from that to approx 12" of lift, so it can drive just fine.

air ride suspension

You'd need to make the fact it has air suspension much clearer because at the momnet it either looks way too low and would scrape along the ground or has incredibly small wheels.

and how do you propose i do that sir? want me to put a huge air tank in the bed? plaster it with stickers? im all ears.

99.9% of people that will see this will know exactly what is going on so i dont really see the need to make it anymore clear than it already it.

Hey I'm trying help. You opened the thread. You asked for feedback. Go and post on the forum you "designed" this for and see what they think because i frankly don't care.

I'm telling it how i see it, i was trying to be polite but to be honest i don't see why i should bother anymore. You want to know what i really think? - It sucks. It's a bad piece of work. What the hell are those "logos" on the bottom? The colour is garish, the body is about 3 feet lower than it should be and the wheels are look completely out of place and frankly just strange.

There.

[/my involvement in the thread]

(My inevitable "time out" ban will be worth it)

You need to make it look like all the paint on the bottom has rubbed and put some sparks flying off the back, since it would obviously be scraping along the street.

It looks like a little kid wearing his dad's jacket.

LOL!

those logos are called sponsors. do you need to me define sponsors for you? last time i checked people install air-ride suspension to "lower" a vehicle. crazy huh? who would have thunk it. welcome to the world of customization.

lol. huh?

i thought about adding a ground reflection to the paint but then i realized it would look weird seeing as there really isnt a ground to take a texture from and the vehicle isn't in motion in the picture.

My point was, even with an air suspension, the way you have it rendered makes it look like the frame of the truck is on the ground and the tires are floating a couple of inches in the air.

The tires need to come down a little bit.

finally someone who knows whats going on. thank you for the input.

maybe not the best thing to say in this part of the forum considering a fair few of the people commenting actually do design for a living

As to the wheels, I've seen plenty of cars with the wheels actually tucked inside the arches and the body resting on the floor, but as it stands (now I've seen what ignatius saw) they either need raising further into the arches with an appropriate angle or lowering as said.

and im not denying that. i respect the work that they do, but im not gonna butt in to something i know nothing about.

Then why don't you go and post this on a car mechanics site. Or the Pimp my Ride Forum
