It may not be a forwarded looking idea, but you can copy System Preferences from Monterey. Seems to run just fine and to modify system parameters as expected.

and then what? will it support new options? and will you have to reinstall it with every update? and what happens when next year's OS drops? will the old sys prefs still work then?

i don't understand why people are so afraid of change. anyway, at some point you'll have to adapt; why not start now?

That's because its designed for iPad.

I was addressing the point that something designed for portrait wont work in landscape.
