Well then I would hope for those of us that have one now if there are any problems down the road, Apple will cover bending under AppleCare.

I’m still waiting on the liquid metal iPhone and iPad - the same material they make their SIM poppers out of - that is completely unbendable. And sapphire screens, like real sapphire not the sapphire-coated display they use on the Watch.

With all the complaints of bent iPads seemingly related to cellular models, I bet apple is doing some behind the scenes quality improvements.

Apple might not publically admit to the issue, but I can almost guarantee they aren’t ignoring the complaints.

I believe this is true. It certainly doesn't seem like a Verizon, or Best Buy (in my case because I ordered cellular Ipad through them) or any other vendor issue. They simply don't have them in stock. But keep your chins up folks, maybe we'll all get a slighty improved/modified version, a little more resistant to bending. A small token for being patient.

Looks like alot of different stores are listing January 4. Maybe thats the day we all get ours.

I sold mine a few weeks ago. I had the 12.9" 256GB model. It was perfect with no bends at all. It was just too big and ended up getting a Mini 4.

I’ve called a few times. Mine was supposed to ship the same day I ordered it and I reached out after it missed Christmas. I hear something different every time I call. I had one rep tell me that it had actually shipped and would be here in a few days..... Verizon seems like a mess when it comes to selling products. I don’t think this is unique to this year or this product.

Has anyone seen movement on their orders yet? My ship date is no longer showing on my order status page. Bestbuy will deliver by Friday.

Edit: Support Chat said everything was still good for the 25th, but 3 hours later I received an order cancellation email with no explanation as to why the order was cancelled. Woo
