Carrier Verizon: why is the voicemail capacity so small?

I get so few voicemails to my iPhone number that I didn't discover the limit until last week. I'm on Verizon's network via Xfinity.

It's like going down Dissapointment Road trying to find a cell service that does everything one wants the way one wants it.

As mentioned above in the old thread you can give Google Voice a shot for voicemail.

Take that with a very large grain of salt... I currently have 36 undeleted voicemails in my VZW account and another 32 in the deleted folder. I'm not saying it never complains at me about being close to full (I disremember the percentage at which the message pops) but I've been carrying VM's like this for years.
