The Magnet app ( https://magnet.crowdcafe.com/ ) should work identically to Rectangle.
You should turn off stage manager if you're using a window tiling manager.
I don't work with stage manager, but it wouldn't hurt to turn that off to see if it makes a difference.
I'm no videographer, but this show you what I mean when I talk about resizing.
Yea I get the resizing aspect and thank you for the video. I am beginning to think stage manager is my issue. I am going to turn this off I’ll let everyone know what happens. Thank you for all your help! I’ve only been using a Mac for 6 months so still new to it
You can use an app called Spectacle. It's out of support but works fine with Monterrey (don't remember if i used it with Ventura).

Stage manager was the problem! Thank you all again for the help on this!! Kind of lame stage manager causes you not to be able to do this. I like stage manager a lot but will not be turning it back on bc of this
You can in fact do this with Stage Manager, you just need to make sure all of the apps you want to position are on the same stage. Have one app out front, then move your mouse to the left of the screen to show the other apps, and drag the one you want out. Then they will both display at once and you can arrange them as you please.
I tried that but if I select an app that isn’t the same as the one out it just replaces it. Makes no sense to me
Did you make sure to click and drag the app window out instead of just clicking it?
No I did not. You can resize and put it wherever you want if you drag it?
Yes. If you drag the window out from the shelf along the side of the screen and drop it in the middle, then it joins whatever windows are already out. See below:
If you’re using stage manager, you can hold shift when clicking and opening an app to add its new window to the current stage.
It sounds like that’s the functionality you’re looking for?
Wow I’m glad I asked in here. Much better knowing this shift trick and that I can have apps stacked on top and bottom split!! Thank you all for the help
