Very old Mac app: Discover Astronomy

Hi,

Does anyone here know this old program? It is called "Discover Astronomy" in English—I saw it in the Windows Task Manager, and the executable file is named DA.EXE. The publisher is Maris Multimedia Ltd. The CD-ROM is a custom hybrid disc containing both HFS+ and ISO 9660 file systems. See attached.

System requirements

Mac OS, 68030/PPC 601, 8 MB, 640x480x256 etc.

Does some remember this? And what is the correct English title of this application?

What operating system do you use?

Does Keka help?

The ISO is Discover Astronomy 1.1 for Windows 3.1. PeaZip & Keka can extract it.

The ISO contains the Mac OS app as well. I managed to open the ISO file on OS X Leopard 10.5.8, copied the contents and successfully ran Discover Astronomy on Mac OS 9.2.2 on my iMac G4. 🙂

Yes, it does! iMac G4, OS X Tiger 10.4.11, the ISO file opens (despite a warning message) and Discover Astronomy runs directly from it.
