In ur GF's bed, Oh no he didn't!
I reinstalled the Combo Update for 10.5.6 onto my Macbook Pro and it solved the freezing video issue. I think it is related to the pulled NVIDIA update and the combo update might have overwritten it (not sure). I am trying the same on my Macbook Air now to see if it will help.

Edit: My Macbook Air Rev. B can't play it without stuttering, but it seems to be an issue with Flash. It is a lot better now with the combo update reinstalled and the big issue for the Air seems to be Flash taxing the CPU too hard at 1.6GHz. It plays fine until it decodes more of the video then pauses as it hits the CPU very hard. GPU acceleration will help a lot with that and a 64bit rewrite of Flash will help too. Snow Leopard should be pretty interesting.

I haven't had any video problems with MBA revB SSD and am curious is this is limited to the 1.6's oor the SSD version as well? Any commments?

I ran the hulu video on my MBA Rev B 1.86 SSD and it stutters pretty badly. I also tried on my Mac Pro 8-core 2.8ghz w/ 8800GT and depending on the size of the safari window CPU utilization went anywhere from 150% to 250%. If a video in hulu needs f'en 2.5 cores at 2.8ghz then there's no way the MBA can handle it.

Is it MBA's fault? OS X? is it the crappy flash performance on OSX? is that adobe's fault? H264 decoding? How did the other MBP's handle the video?

Hi I just got my MBA 1.6g hot off the UPS truck.....I tried watching House MD on it, the graphic sucks!!! Anything I can or should do?

If not, am dumping it down the golden gate bridge.......well not quite...am so sad....I tried it out at the apple store watching streaming movies in all the websites i frequent and they were fine...why is that??

Is this defective or something??? I AM SOO SAD>>>>someone save me...thanks!!

Well if I visit Fox.com and watch the latest episode of House in HD, in fullscreen my 1.86/SSD works fine, no stuttering, video is very smooth. Fox does have it's own Move player, so make sure you've installed the latest one. But then, again, you just installed it so it must be the latest.. ??

The MBA 1.6GHz seems to be able to handle optimized CPU video decoding in real time without any issues. You can open a HD 720p or 1080p file in VLC (software decoding only) and watch it full screen on the MBA without pushing beyond a very comfortable CPU margin.

The Flash decoding got better in Flash 10, but as you can see from the Mac Pro's performance it is still pretty bad. The Macbook Pro I tried it on is quite powerful in itself and it was pushed quite hard too.
