... you can only get it if you buy a new Mac. Older ones are out of luck since there's no (legal) way to get it seperately.
If I recall, the only way to get Windows Media Center is to buy a new PC.

...correct me if I'm wrong.

It was on by default not turn off. A lot of people turn it off for improve system speed but it really not as good as you are trying to make it out to be.

It has been off since SP1....

Maybe Gates and Jobs are best of friends and shared the source code with each other. I guess it is possible, no lawsuits yet.

You didn't know? They are total BFF! Bill actually runs Apple when Steve has his Pixar/Disney obligations and Steve runs MS when Ballmer runs out of cocaine. ;)

So far, yes. Spotlight kinda sucks. I have high hopes for Leopard though and suspect that it will put Vista's search to shame.

You are crazy. Spotlight is so cool, I love it! And compared to MS's current meta data searcher in its current OS, it is lightyears ahead. Compare Leapard's searcher with Vista's and see the difference!:D

Man, that video just showed everything that Vista had (in Mac OS X). And remember, only Vista Ultimate will have all these features. There will be six editions of it:p (all cr*p). I never hope Apple splits Mac OS X into seperate editions. Every mac user is just used to having the best.:D

Newegg always sold OEM Media Center...

Well, yeah, if you wanna get all technical… ;)

But they used to include a molex splitter to get around MS's license, didn't they?

Not pointing out Vista in particular but it's funny how in an aesthetic sense it seems to be really hard for anyone at all to copy Apple's design. Any company that trys to copy the aesthetics of the hardware or software just ends up looking and feeling like a cheapened version. It'll be interesting to see how the street version of Vista will go in this regard.
Remember the old, old days when the first Mac came out with its icons and mouse. PC users said it was a toy, then Win95 came out with the same type GUI and Apple went after MS because it was a great interface and MS knew it.

MS is still way behind when it comes to aesthetics. Win95 thru XP were just softer, more colorful versions of the prior OS, aesthetically speaking.

Wake up!!!Who cares about Vista lets focus on Leopard!!

I dont really care becasue I will not be upgrading to Vista becasue XP supports all of my need however, if Leapord does not allow me to dual boot, (because I dont want to have 2 OS's running at the same time), then I will not be upgrading to that either.

...Wrong... Windows 2 copied off of System 7, Jobs gave Bill a Macintosh to work on and "devlop" software for it, when instead all he did was steal the GUI and call it his own. Then again Apple did take it from Xerox but Xerox knew this was going on.
