If they show leopard, why not vista? If they showed Xp, dat wouldn't be fair to microsoft.

Resemblance Anyone?

I have PTSD from Windows ME. Damn you for bringing it up, DAMN YOU.

Okay, maybe I just failed in Threadmaking.

Not at all. There are just three simple guidelines for starting a thread and guaranteeing it will attract lots of replies in this forum:

1. Say something blasphemous about Apple.
2. Extoll the virtues of the heaven-sent Genuine Microsoft Windows Vista Home Edition.
3. Ask for someone's opinion.

No actually this is why: Nothing is compatible with Vista anyways. Apple wanted to make Mobile ME the 10th app compatible with Vista. It's nice to see Apple care so much about it, but it doesn't change the fact that OSX>XP>Vista.

I don't think I've ever come across an application that doesn't run in Vista. Got any *real* examples and not heresay?

Truth be told, I greatly prefer XP to Vista, but still - you're just circulating bunk rumors.

I don't know...but didn't it seem in WWDC that Apple was careful NOT to make fun of microsoft? Especially Schiller, who kinda pleaded the audience to disregard his mistake.

Yeah.

I noticed that.

Maybe Microsoft had a go at them :p

Or maybe since Steve isn't at his best, right now, he doesn't have the energy to mock Windows? :(

It seems like they should show some respect considering the install base it has.

What? 2 users, including Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer? :p

As bad as Vista has been, I have to say it is getting better. Not great by any means but better. I still find OS X to be far better and more efficient though. At least Vista is making some progress even if it is slow :-/

Apple's just trying to show that they're keeping up with the times. I hate looking at sites that show monitors or Macs for display and they show an old OS default desktop image. It's like, get with the program!

I don't think it's because it is the current iteration of the Windows OS... Apple's been using XP in their screenshots until now. I think it is probably because Microsoft will stop providing support for XP in a bit.
