Hahahahaha..... SO true....

I'm assuming this is in response to the video?

If it is. That lady doesn't get the meaning of BETA. That entire video only talks about Vista SP1 Beta. Vista SP1 RC1 is vastly improved, and Vista SP1 RTM is a bit faster IMO. When you're trying beta software, don't expect it to act like a final, complete, version. It only makes you sound and look like an idiot.;)

Gaming performance on my MBP in Vista is just as good as it was in XP. Then again, I would expect these kinds of comments from Apple fanboys.

Also, if you tried Vista when it was first released, it was very buggy in the driver department. Around 6 months after its release, the drivers are much better and performance in games has been restored.

This has been my main concern. It sucks though that Bootcamp doesn't support 64-bit.

I've been using Vista (32-bit) on a separate hard drive through BootCamp since I got my new Mac Pro in June '07. Upgraded to Leopard in the fall. Still have no issues with Vista. Granted I'm not on it that often (primarily games) but it's stable and has never crashed on me.

I bootcamped vista home basic on three different computers and am going to put business 64 on one today.

I have never had problems. If you do its because you are incompetent. All the computers were Apples FTW. if it was another manufacturer you were upgrading I could understand it.

Classic bold and ignorant comment, just made my evening. :D Next time when I have to decide something about our 100+ workstations I'll ask you, I promise.

You know when you release a bucket of sh*t as a new OS and you charge $300 for it then it's not that hard to 'improve' it later into a bucket of guano - that's at least something you can use, unlike the sh*t you bought in first place...

eriously, Vista is a perfect example HOW CLUELESS whole Microsoft is... just amazing how completely off the field they are...

Well. I can only speak for myself on this, but Vista has worked fine for me since I started using it around September or October of 2006 when it was in Release Candidate stage. Many problems were a result of absolute rubbish drivers from Nvidia, which IMO, there was no reason for Nvidia to have rubbish for drivers. It's not like they didn't know Vista wasn't going to be released (I know they didn't, since their post-RTM drivers introduced glitches not seen in their RC1 drivers). Although, there was about 2 months in between RTM and being released to the general public, which gave many companies ample time to release drivers that were RTM compatible (and yet, Nvidia managed to squander that time away). It took about 2 months for Nvidia to release good drivers for Vista after the release to the public.

Poor support by major companies can't be blamed on Microsoft.
