Visual Look Up not working in Beta 1?

Beta 8 here, still no working visual look up 🙄 This is slowly getting weird.

As @kris-cool mentioned above, setting your device region to USA will let you try visual lookup out, I believe it’s the only region active in the beta.

However, I switched mine to USA, to have a play with it, then back to my usual United Kingdom region, and visual lookup is still working…. For now at least.

Still nothing on RC for France at the moment. The feature is clearly mentioned on French apple website. Maybe they will activate it server Side soon?

Well, that is just utter nonsense... I would understand them not supporting it in every language, but why would this feature be region-locked??

This is news, though. It's been region locked in the Betas but marketed globally as a feature.

This wasn't listed as a regional feature as recently as the 14th, and it was never mentioned in any of the available in... small print. Looks like it's now dropped off the local iOS 15 marketing pages too.

Thanks for the heads up, disappointing though it is. At least we still get Live Text!

I know it's been like this for several betas. But as SirCrumpet just said, it's not been made official by apple until yesterday. Until now we could only see that by observing the beta

We’ve seen this happen before, where things were advertised globally at first, but wasn’t on release. So I’m not surprised.
