Did anybody have the chance to test their Wacom in DP3 yet?

A friend of mine just tested it and IT WORKS! The latest Intuos Wacom drivers are working with DP3. I am upgrading now and will let you know.

Thanks a lot. I didn’t use a mouse for 13 years but did not want to downgrade just for the Wacom. Looking forward holding a pen again :)

Im on DP3, and lost mouse and the ability to change the settings through the System Prefs,
However, i ran this in terminal:
Code:
sudo nvram boot-args=kext-dev-mode=1
and rebooted, and it works now.

Yes! So happy. My Cintiq was pointing to totally the wrong places and making the pointer go a bit made but changing some settings in the prefs made it right again.

SO HAPPY.

Just in case, SmoothMouse also works in DP3. It was indeed a bug.

Just out of curiosity, did y'all have the drivers previously installed (from Beta 2, etc.) or was it a fresh install of the Wacom drivers on Beta 3?

I'm on PB 5 and my 13" Cintiq is connected and recognized, but the System Preferences pane says "A supported tablet was not found on this system."

I have the latest driver on the Wacom website, WacomTablet_6.3.13w3.

Is anyone on El Cap able to change the preferences for their tablet?

Edit: I've tried installing it over an existing installation, and also uninstalling it before uninstalling it. Neither worked.

That's odd, my Cintiq 13HD is working fine now, as normal. It was only really screwy for me in one of the developer previews.

I've not tried it on the public preview, but I thought they were pretty much the same now?

Mixel, what driver are you running? You can find out by opening Wacom Desktop Center and clicking "About" in the dropdown. I'm on 6.3.13-3

6.3.11-3 here.. I thought I was on the latest! I'm reluctant to update it now and see if the latest version works.. Should I risk it? Hmm.

Just downloaded 6.3.11-3, and it's still not working for me.

Also tried the new version that they pushed 2 days ago (Aug 28th) – also no luck.

Based on my own experience, I wouldn't risk upgrading to the latest were I you. But if you don't depend on the tablet and you're okay with it not working for a few months if it stops working, then go for it!

Edit:

also tried my other Macbook Air, which has 6.3.11-3, and the Cintiq is also not working there, either.

Weird, for me every time I install an update I have to switch the display, and sometimes recalibrate, but its been fine outside of DP2..

I just updated to the latest version and it's still working.. I wonder if there's a conflict on your system? To get earlier DPs to boot at all i had to delete some ancient unsupported .kexts 9in my case to do with old usb webcams), maybe its a more specific version of that?

Clarifying question: does your System Preferences Wacom panel recognize the tablet? I can draw in Photoshop, even with pressure sensitivity, but I can't configure the physical buttons on the tablet (or anything else one might do in SysPrefs).

Yup, everything is working 100% as normal in 6.3.14-2, everything detected and customisable, screen overlays etc all working right.

Dang. Well, pretty jealous. I tried a whole bunch of things, and simply couldn't get it to work.

Aside from our individual software differences (which could theoretically cause problems, I suppose), I am on a 2015 12" Macbook (and 2013 Macbook Air) running PB5, which is build 15A262e, rather than 15A263e (which is what you're on).

If anyone else was having my problems, and did any concrete steps to fix it, let me know! I'd love to get the tablet up and running again :)

Lil update:

Unsurprisingly, the new El Cap beta didn't make my tablet suddenly start working.

Then I got scared that maybe the tablet was broken, so I reverted my Air back to Yosemite and it's working again. So it does seem to be an issue with El Cap + my machines + the drivers.

So weird.. Still working in the latest OS X here.. About the only difference I can think of between our macs is mine predates usb3? Do you have anything installed on both your macs that might be causing conflicts? Bettertouchtool or something? Or old legacy Kexts like I used to have.

Can you make another fresh elcap install on an external drive and see if it works on a totally clean, non upgrade install? It really seems like it should.
