it looks like they're just BTOing to an 80gb HD. with the student discount, that's only $45 more, which is a lot cheaper than buying it from newegg (which is around $75 + shipping). It would save time, but not money in this case.

well if they wanted a 7200rpm, then i'm sure they'd have done it 3rd party. but other than that.. why pay $30 + shipping more just to pick what brand you get? seems silly.
