Can I buy apple store gift card on physical apple store? Or I only can buy it online? I see that limit buying it online is USD 2000.00.. Can I buy 2 cards USD 1500.00 each one and order USD 3000.00 imac online using only gift card?

Hi, I don't know if Apple offers this scheme in US, but I bought an 5k iMac late 2015, fully specced and I saved 379.96 US Dollar (from £ conversion). There is this student education scheme, where you get a huge discount, if you are a student. You simply need to go the apple website, click "live chat" and tell the employee assisting you, which iMac you want and state that you are a student, after she/he asks you which university you go to, and just tell her any random university that is in your local area, and then that is it, no check ups nothing, he/she will then give you the link to the check-out page with a student discount (-379.96 US Dollar) + 3 years of warranty and free delivery = Profit.

Oh, and did I mention? You don't have to be a student, just lie. The employee will not check it, but in some cases, they will ask, for a screenshot of proof, so say to them "I got a student profile on my university webpage, and I got the details of enrolment" She will accept that, but at the end of the purchase, she will not ask you for the proof, my friend tried my approach, but he wasn't a student, he still got the student discount. = profit.

In my case, I was a student, but she never checked.

Hope that helps and good luck.

I am a masters student and received the 15% HE discount, but was charged for apple care.

That's probably not going to happen.

Is there any way to block a poster on this forum, or is ignore the best that I can do?

To the right of the Share button at the bottom of every post is a little exclamation point inside a circle. That's the Report button. If you feel that a post is inappropriate or a poster is violating forum rules, you can use that to report it to the moderators, who will make a decision.

If you just don't like somebody, I think Ignore is your only option.

Please let me know if Apple allows you to pick up from Fedex on Saturdays .. Thank you.

This is probably not something Apple would get involved with. Contact FedEx directly and ask if you can pick up your package. They should be able to tell you if it's available for pick-up and what documentation you'll need to prove you are actually the recipient. (Same goes for UPS.)

If you know your package will arrive at your local facility on a Saturday, you may be able to arrange in advance to pick it up. Advance arrangement makes it more likely they can have it at a facility open to walk-in customers.

FedEx shipments can be redirected to FedEx Office (formerly Kinko's copy centers) locations, many of which are open 24 hrs/day, and found in more convenient locations than their depots.

nope online, i spoke to apple sales over online chat, and they stated that for the new imac, the HE uplift surcharge is now common. Maybe some store may waive this cost! I will be speaking to exec customer relations regarding a different issue, may just run it by them.

My understanding was in store it's about £50 uplift, but online there is no extra charge. That was the case for me two weeks ago anyway.
