I like the Max phone, but if it gets any bigger I'll get getting the non Max model, so I'm hoping they don't increase the size. I don't care about 5g just yet and I would be shocked if they actually incorporated 5g this soon as Apple seems to wait years after something is ironed out before introducing it.

I waiting for:
Better Camera
Fingerprint reader incorporated under the screen, along with Face ID
Drag and Drop music and files without using iTunes or a music software

I'm expecting next year to be an "S" year so no major design changes I'm guessing. I can see them doing a triple lens on the 12 and Quad lens for 12 Pro's.

Unlikely. I believe Apple's doing a 3-year cycle now, so theoretically next year we should be seeing a "revolutionary" update rather than an iterative one. Hopefully, anyway..

5.4 and 6.7 would be a bad move. They should have a size in the middle. 5.4 may seem too small and 6.7 too big.

How is that too small? My current iPhone has a 4.7" LCD. I don't want to lug around a mini iPad.

Good point but I still stand with the "S" model speculation. We'll all find out in a year (or less) 😉

That's why the 6.1" iPhone like the XR and 11 will stay.

The alleged 2020 lineup is perfect in terms of size. 5.4", 6.1", 6.7".

But the 6.1 doesn't have the same hardware as the other two. At least in the current generation.

Two different aspect ratios. While you can compare how comfortable it is, you can't make a direct comparison between usable area in the display. Not saying that 5.4 is massively small. It's just smaller than the current 5.8 which is not a bad size. They could launch a 6.1 or maintain a 5.8 Pro model along side with the bigger 6.7 and smaller 5.4.

Holding out just doesn't work for me. My name is Joe and I'm an iPhone addict and a proud member of Apple IUP.

We were not talking about internal hardware. You said that Apple should have a size in the middle, to which I replied the 6.1" iPhone will be the middle-sized iPhone.

Hoping to see at the minimum in the iPhone 12......

90hz/120hz refresh rate screen
5x Zoom
Night mode on the Selfie/Ultra Wide Angle camera
Even bigger battery
Even faster charging

Well, I am. I am talking about the top of the line phone. So, to clarify, I’m saying that they should have a Pro phone with dimensions around the current 5.8 phone.

You can play the waiting game year after year, there’s always something better on the horizon.

What benefit does ProMotion bring to a screen size such as that of an iPhone?

Video / film watching would be perfect as it would play at the correct 23.976 fps or 30 fps or 25 fps or 50 fps or 60 fps rather than putting everything at 60 fps which introduces judder. Same with gaming. Even basic scrolling would be superb at 120hz rather than 60.
A pro model should have ProMotion. Once you've had it on a iPad Pro, you really can't be without it. All Macs are screaming out for it!
