Waiting for new El capitan version

This initial version cannot be installed in my mbp.
I tried from app store - apple servers, it stucked.
I also downloaded from elsewhere, I tried again to install, stuck in the same point again.

I cannot suppose that it is my mbp fault. Why should I blame mbp? It is late '13 with yosemite.

I cannot 'track' where the problem is based. If you have any idea, just tell me.
I had to restore back to yosemite.

I am thinking remaining in yosemite for the next time period, and try once again to install when apple will give us an upgraded package of el capitan.

How this could be done? I mean, if a new version of el capitan appears, the existing one will disappear from app store and I will see only the new one? Or I should download the current 'crap' and then any updates?
Is there any 'build numbers' I can see in app store?
When I will read in the news, that a new el capitan version is out, can I assume and expect, that it will be an accumulative update with the initial os wrapped up with the new updates, in app store?

As you understand I fear to try installation with this one, once again, but I want to be ready and sure of how I can try install the new version, when it will be available.

The installation of El Capitan is working for the vast majority of users, so it's likely there is some sort of problem with your computer. You'll need to describe in detail the problem you are having in order for anyone to offer useful help.

My experience is not unlike yours. I downloaded 10.11 from the store and proceeded to install. It got to around 90% according to the process bar and then simply shut off my computer. I too have a late 2013 15" MacBook Pro. I had to restore my backed up system to get the computer running again. I tried it a second time with the same result. I tried it a third time after uninstalling Parallels with the same result. I called apple care and discussed with them and they had no solution. I was told to wait a few days and download it again. They apparently make minor updates without telling anyone.

Somebody said Microsoft Office has something to do with this. I got stuck on the installing software update too, but I don't have time to remove the MS Office and retry yet.

How long did you actually wait? It's not unusual for the upgrade to seem to stop at several stages depending on the hardware speed and what the installer encounters. Did you leave it alone for at least an hour or did you give it a few minutes, think it was hung, and then interrupt the upgrade? I'm being serious. Over the years I have ready many, many posts that never state what exactly the problem was with their upgrade other than they were impatient and interrupted what would have resulted in a successful upgrade.

Therefore, my best advice is to first use Disk Utility to check your drive for errors, then, uninstall ALL anti-virus or other utilities that have a menubar icon or that run in the background (these types of utilities are notorious for causing system issues), and then try the El Capitan upgrade again. This time, start the upgrade, and any time it seems to be "stuck", walk away for at least an hour before interrupting it.

I waited for hours!
I left mbp open in the evening, I got to sleep, the next morning it was at the same point!

Also, as I said, I tried second time with the 6gb file already downloaded from elsewhere, just to avoid any random traffic in apple servers, network problems, etc.
The same problem again.

I do not have antivirus, only handsoff application as firewall.

As the user profster said, the same problem happened to him.
So, something goes bad with mbp 15' late '13?

I don't have time for more 'deja vu' adventures with el capitan.
So, please tell me about versioning and the related thing, to try once again in the near future, but I want to be sure that I will not download this 'thing' again, that causes my mbp to become non-working.

@cool11: You need Hands Off! V. 3.0, which is compatible with 10.11. However this havent changed failure in running installed El Capitan. System hangs on progress bar or goes into restart loop.

Any application that "monitors" things on your mac is typically very unnecessary and a suspect when updates fail. Because this application is completely unnecessary. Hopefully the developer of that software makes an uninstaller that will correctly and completely remove all of the components of the software for you. Once removed, I'll be that your El Capitan installs correctly.

In addition, I'll bet that if you try to install (you shouldn't by the way) Hands Off! in El Capitan that it doesn't work because it requires installing files in places that El Capitan's new rootless mode protections now disallow. Any application that has a problem with these new restrictions was using questionable design practices and El Capitan is finally putting a stop to it.

You seem to be completely absolute about handsoff.
The truth is that I have version 3, and I tried installation once again, 3rd time.
Failure.
Should I blame handsoff? Should I uninstall it, and then try install el capitan again?

I must admit that such big failure I don't even have seen in various windows installations throughout years.
Even if there is any incompatibility with any software, I believe that the os should be properly installed, and then the user could find what is faulty and what is not.

If there are other users here that ended up that it's a handsoff problem, I will remove it.
But, there is no logic to obligate users to remove software from their systems, in order to be able to install a new os version.
If this is true, it would be an originality.

If anybody knows about versioning I asked above, please tell it to me.
I can wait, but I want to be sure that I will be able to installed a completely updated version of el capitan, when it comes out, from the current system of yosemite.

I tried for fourth time today!
Same bad results.
Before trying the new attempt for installation, I followed the advice of IHelpId10t5
I uninstalled handsoff completely.
But this does not helped at all.
I stuck once again at the same point.
After the first round of about 25 minutes, then mbp restarted, the bar has a little progress, and then stuck forever(hours).
I have an actual screenshot for you

I feel like I will never be able to install el capitan, and I don't know even why.
Please help me.

Yesterday I uninstalled handsoff! with its own uninstaller.
No success to el capitan installation, if it is related to handsoff!(I am not sure).
Restore back to yosemite.

Today I am thinking to uninstall handsoff! with appdelete.
And try el capitan installation again.

So much effort to install el capitan.

Maybe it's time for a time machine backup, a complete erase of your drive and a fresh install.

I though of a clean install. Moreover, I have used migration assistant in the past, so the setup of a new machine is not so tedious. Clean install, then I give the path of my external hard disk with supeduper image, everything transfered well.
I 've done it in the past, I can do it again.
After all, trying to install el capitan and then restore back to yosemite, takes me about 2-3 hours.

How can I select a clean install? I did not saw this option.

Neither of those issues are the same as yours though. The first one is a user who can't even run the installer for El Capitan and the second is a user who has successfully installed el cap but is having issues later with rebooting.

I tried something and it was successful. I created a bootable USB memory stick with the installer on it. I ran it from my existing O/S and it went through like normal and toward the end of the install it shut off the MacBook as in the past. I tried rebooting a couple of times and of course it shut off the computer as before.

I booted directly to the USB stick and it loaded for some time and then came up with the choices to install ElCapitan. I chose this knowing I could restore from my Time Machine or try using the Migration Assistant to install my apps and files.

When it finished installing (I thought it would be a clean install) it asked me to reboot. I did so and to my surprise it came to my login. I put my password in and to my surprise everything is there.
