the app looks great. i didn't think i was going to buy an alarm clock app but you guys have sold me. only thing i would add is that it would be GREAT if you could shake the phone to snooze it (with the touch screen only activated by something like the 'slide to unlock' so that i can snooze away in a stupor without worrying about accidentally turning the alarm off). thanks!

cwfrederick,
It sounds like that would make for a good hidden feature. Glad to hear you are enjoying the app. We appreciate the feedback!!

Thanks!

Downloaded over the weekend, using it, like it a lot.
Some feature requests to make it even better:

brightness adjuster
ability to schedule multiple alarms
ability to set a regularly occurring alarm rather than setting on each occasion
mini picture of the chosen track's album artwork just below the track name

regards
mark

Downloaded this app last night and it's lovely. The app looks very polished and classy. I love the minimalistic UI with nothing more than a row of icons and a clock on the main/active screen. I would also like to see a future update to include multiple alarms because I've been known to dismiss my alarm and fall back into a coma some mornings. Also, recurring alarms would be great as well.

Keep up the great work!

cardboardcowboy, we are glad to hear you are enjoying AlarmTunes so much!

I want to thank you and everyone for all of the tremendous feedback, we really appreciate it! Just an FYI - multiple alarms are on their way!

I downloaded it before a little trip and it was perfect to be woken up by something other than an annoying bleep.

Baggy Trousers by Madness that starts with a bell worked well :)

Ryan,
Nice alarm app. Mine locks up when I try to select a song. I have to shake it to unlock it. The alarm then says "loading".

Another suggestion: when the alarm is on, display the alarm time that it is set to go off right under the alarm icon. Small font similar to the "on" would be good so you don't mistake it for the current time.

Sounds like you're not hitting the done button after selecting the song. When you shake that leads to random song selection.

No. When the iPod window opens, it locks up then. It won't let me scroll, or select anything.

Edit: When all else fails, restart. Restarted my phone and that fixed it.

I have tried both this one and Hard Awakening.. I like hard awakening because even though it does the same thing with allowing you to use your music to wake up to.. it ALSO allows you to let the music FADE IN!

Oh yea.. and its got some AWESOME intervals for snooze. I mean, a 30 minute snooze is PERFECT for me.. I let one go off 1/2 before wake up to get me kinda up.. and 30 minutes later.. i am more awake.

When this app has those two features, I will maybe start using that more.. but fading in and snooze intervals are a must for me

AlarmTunes 1.1 was submitted tonight with some exciting new enhancements that we think everybody is really going to love! Now working on 1.2!

All of the feedback from members has been incredibly helpful and we are working diligently to act on the great feedback!

Keep your eye out for the 1.1 update in the coming days!

Looks great on my dock

For some reason, my alarm didn't go off this morning though? luckily I woke up, checked and it was set at 7am.

I forgot to turn off my alarm from the iPhones alarm clock which was set at the same time, do you think that cancelled them out? I'll have to turn that off.

Also, I read that if it's connected to a power source it stays on, but mine shuts off to sleep mode. Is there a setting for this?

Thanks,

Is there anyway to make it so that the music you are listening to when you start the application stays one and then you could double tap the home button and pause the iPod all within the application. This would make it easy to listen to podcasts before falling asleep while ensuring that the application doesn't close and you oversleep.
Also just wondering if most of you all left the iPhone on the alarmtunes screen all night or locked the iPhone throughout the night?

Is there a way to not have this app eat up battery overnight, i tried setting an alarm and once it was set i hit the home button to get to my main screen on my phone then put the phone to sleep. Alarm didn't go off so i just set it to the time i was gonna wake up in the morning and i went to bed with 100% battery life, since i had the app running when i went to bed i just hit the sleep button to shut the screen off.

Woke up and i had 75% of my battery left, for this app to eat 25% of my battery in 7 hours is way too much. Am i doing something wrong.

Curious how this differs from using my iPhone plugged into my iHome and having it set to wake the iPhone as the alarm which plays the current song on my iPhone.

MigsVuitton,
Looks great! Thanks for sharing the pic. The new night mode display option implemented in version 1.1 will look just as cool.

Sounds like the two alarms you had set conflicted with one another.

Also, regarding the display shutting off while connected to your docks power source, this bug has been resolved in version 1.2 which is soon to be submitted to the app store.

wr1020, based on Apple's policy third party applications are not currently permitted to run in the background. We have made improvements to battery conservation in upcoming updates.

Cool, so apple's the one responsible for this eh :p. Great app but that's the one thing i don't like about it, but hey it's not your fault. Other than that, again, great app.

You can't set profile alarms. For example, the native clock app allows you to wake up at 6am on specific days you choose, not with this app.

Also, you must leave this app opened for it to work.

I want a refund :(

Multiple alarms are in the 1.1 update currently being reviewed by Apple and we are currently working on many customer suggested features as well.

We would also like to address the need for the app to be open for the alarm to work. Unfortunately Apple will not allow any 3rd party apps to run in the background. To help with this issue we have created the app to run in sleep mode so you may optionally lock your device and turn your screen off.

I really want to buy this app but I have no use until you put in landscape support. I have a stand that holds my phone sideways at night and I would love to use this. Please put in landscape if at all possible...

No problem toxictrix! Landscape support is already developed and will be included in the 1.2 update. Thanks for the feedback!
