I'm a bit new at this, so it's taken me a looooooong time to get a decent rip. Here's a few notes so no one has to do the same.
When I upgraded my VLC (to 1.0.2) i went for the Intel 64 bit option, which worked fine, but when I opened HB the video was scrambled (which had not been the case in 0.9.8). I went back and got the Intel 32 bit version and the video was unscrambled. I don't know why this was the case, but I'd reccommend just getting the 32 bit one.
Also, on my copy of the DVD the correct title to rip was title 53 not 30. This is probably due to it being a different countries release. So it pays to check in DVD player as posted above.
