I called, Goodwill in Northern Georgia made a deal with Dell Computers anything donated to them is turned over to Dell for recycling.

That's odd. I suppose someone at Dell thinks they get to sell more new boxes this way, and Goodwill gets a steady cash influx.

In California Goodwill opened a Computer Center where all the Computers and related hardware is sent. Seems there were concerns about people donating machines full of personal info, so they needed one place to cover that. I imagine the deal with Dell in Georgia covers that concern too
