My first two comments were "Guess iPhone isn't for everyone" (she edited it later to include that her battery life was "decent" and the second comment was: "Do you pay for electricity, you know, to charge it?" I apologize for my subsequent comment, but that second one really was uncalled for.. It seemed very rude to me. It still seems rude to me. Let's be real. The guy was making fun of me and it got my ire up because I was sincere and earnestly looking for a little advice. As a new forum member I felt very unwelcome by the electricity comment. I said I was thrifty (a good quality, I think. My husband appreciates it immensely.) I said I was thrifty, not poor. I don't live in a shack in Appalachia with no running water or electricity, okay? Maybe I am oversensitive, I am also pregnant, so I am a little emotional these days (no I am not 16, I am a fully grown adult. Running around town pregnant with no working phone because it drains every three hours is annoying). I shouldn't have let that one guy get to me, I really knew that I shouldn't take the bait and gotten upset. He was being rude. I just don't understand. If you don't want to provide any information, why leave a one line comment meant to poke fun at someone? Yet I am compared to 16 year old girl and this guy is what, a funny guy? I'm just not used to that kind of snobby attitude. Most forums I visit are relatively friendly.

I do very much appreciate the people who took the time to write helpful replies. I especially found the AT&t vs. Apple advice helpful thanks. I know smartphones use more battery power but this phone is undoubtedly defective because I am not using its features. Not at all. I am talking on it very little.

By the way, to the poster who said I talk on the phone ten hours a day, it was ten hours over the past week, not per day. That's not very much.

Also, yes, iphones have gone mainstream. I picked mine up for $84. Get used to it. Many new users are going to be entering the discussion about apple products. That's just the way it's going to be. You can complain about it, but that isn't going to change anything.

I thought you left?

The reason I left a one-liner, is because this thread should have never been posted in the first place.

You have two options, either keep the iPhone that you have now (which would be silly), or return it and get a new one. Why do you need other people to coddle you into making the right decision? It may not be easy, or what you want to hear, but that is really your only option.

I could start making new threads for all the things that disappoint me everyday( my coffee is too hot, it's raining, I have to make dinner, they are out of my favorite ice cream), but I certainly would not expect anyone to empathize with me, and I would also expect a few jokes.

Coddle? Really? That is what you think she wanted? You live in a cold hard world. I don't live there. I think empathy is likely a good thing.

Don't try to explain yourself now.. just go away... again. You've insulted this entire community by calling everyone here "creepy" and then try to explain yourself? I don't care if you are pregnant and emotional, your reply was thought out and uncalled for. If you are offended by ONE persons reply, by all means, you can call them out for it... but ... ya know what? Nevermind... You are NOT worth any more of my time. I really feel bad for your husband because if you take the time to think about what you are writing and insult an entire community that is known for their helpfulness, than I can only imagine what you must say off the cuff to him without thinking... poor guy.
