Yes this happened to me as well….I called them up a week ago and talked to a representative and she manually did it on her end. Told me it would definitely go through this time. She said to wait 15-30 days to get the virtual card. I got the text message about 4 days later saying that my virtual card was ready. Tapped on the text link and put my phone number and saw my $200 card. I transferred it to my checking account. Takes a few days to complete. Once it does I will cancel my celular plan.Since it’s been a month, I decided to check the status of my $200 rebate using the Tracking ID supplied by T-Mobile. To my horror, the webpage showed by status as “Denied. No eligible device purchased.” This felt almost like a gut-punch as paid a high price for this 1TB iPad Pro! Then I noticed the tracking ID was NOT the one I had entered. WTF?
I called T-mobile, and after being transferred to the promotions department I reached a nice young woman who kept me on hold for several minutes looking into the situation. When she returned she told me she had resubmitted my entry (now dated today — a month later than I originally submitted), and that I would be receiving my rebate e-gift card within 15-30 days. (I’m really hoping it’s closer to 15 so I don’t get billed for a 3rd month at $30!).
If any of you who signed-up for this promotion haven’t checked your status yet, do so RIGHT NOW! The promotion ends June 27, and you don’t want to be locked out of your rebate because you didn’t find out something “went wrong” until AFTER the deadline!
Got mine, too. Think I'll wait a couple of weeks before cancelling to give the impression that I might just keep the plan. I tried on the iPad and it doesn't have post-paid new signup option. What is best way to sign up just for T-MOBILE data only if not an exiting customer?
Seems this way. Think they will want to try charge more for set up this way no other option.I tried on the iPad and it doesn't have post-paid new signup option.
They have data only Mobile Internet plans https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-phone-plans/affordable-data-plans
Can sign up as standalone plan with the same price according to https://www.rvmobileinternet.com/gear/tmobile-postpaid/
You need to call or go to a store. I'm thinking about doing that after my T-Mobile test-drive ends to get the $200 rebate.
I think it needs to "sit" for 30 days. So you'll see some movement around 7/16.I submitted on 6/15/21 and the status is still “received”. I don’t know when they will approve or deny this so I can contact them.

Thank you so much!! I had called T-Mobile a few weeks ago and gave them my original tracking ID and they said everything was going normally. I used the promotion website today to check the status and it was denied! I am on the phone now and as you said in 15 days I should have my rebate. No idea why they are flagging everyone as denied - except for they are trying to get away with not paying out - thanks again!! Sounds like I’ll have my rebate soon and will then downgrade service to what I actually need!Since it’s been a month, I decided to check the status of my $200 rebate using the Tracking ID supplied by T-Mobile. That was the same they noted for me. As I submitted with the right phone number.I was denied with Tmobile as well so I called in and spoke to someone and apparently the applications filled in (for me atleast) the primary account holder number and not the cell number the iPad was given so it was denied. The agent updated it and automatically approved me. I got my electronic gift card about 3 days later. So if you get denied when you call make sure the submission number is the number of the iPad.
I mean it does cut your iPad bill in half - $10 to $5, not too shabby - unless the iPad bill is higher than that?I got both 11 and 12.9 inch iPads on AT&T, and their "rebate" is an utter joke. $5 a month off your bill. Gee, that will really put a dent into my $350 a month family bill.
To add a tablet to the unlimited plan it is $20 a month. ATT was offering $150 promotion but you get $5 for 30 months.I mean it does cut your iPad bill in half - $10 to $5, not too shabby - unless the iPad bill is higher than that?
You're welcome. Glad you caught it in time!Thank you so much!! I had called T-Mobile a few weeks ago and gave them my original tracking ID and they said everything was going normally. Oh my mistake! I’m on T-Mobile so not super familiar with their pricing. Just thought I saw it was $10, yea you are right thats not great. To add a tablet to the unlimited plan it is $20 a month. ATT was offering $150 promotion but you get $5 for 30 months.
Problem with Verizon. Different answer from different reps and Verizon won’t take responsibility for what they say.Update: just got off the phone with Verizon again. The rep told me it can take up to 10 weeks. The last rep said up to 8 weeks. So according to the most recent rep I talked to, I should be getting an email with the $200 eGift Card sometime between tomorrow and two weeks from today.
Ugh.
