If you jailbreak your Verizon or Sprint iPhone with p0sixspwn there is a possibility you're phone will not be able to connect to your cell phone provider! After rebooting my phone several times, and toggling airplane mode on and off, I am still unable to connect my phone with Verizon.

Give verizon a call

Then un-jailbreak your phone.

Damn! this really friggin sucks right now! i should've waited! can't believe they didn't even try testing on a cdma+gsm phone like the verizon's...how am i suppose to use my phone now? and i really don't want to restore to iOS 7. thanks a lot @ih8sn0w and @winocm!!!

EDIT: just popped in my T-Mobile SIM and i'm getting Service and it shows the carrier name. Unlike when i had my Verizon SIM...it didn't have the carrier name and only bars. it was only when i reset network settings and rebooted then the it said no service. note that i also turn off data and 3g for both for a couple secs. just as instructed in one of the tweets.

Gonna post back results to see if my service comes back on when i pop my verizon sim back in!

EDIT 2: damn! i'm still having problems getting my verizon sim to work...smh

This is why there are numerous warnings in this forum to stay away from this jb for a few weeks. No one forced you to jailbreak. Don't blame @ih8sn0w and @winocm, blame yourself.

You need to call verizon, CDMA phones are activated carrier side...

can you give me specific instructions? i mean i don't wanna have to call customer service and tell them i jailbreaked my phone and now it has no service. any way to do this online?

Geeze. Just call Verizon before you blow a gasket.

Don't mention jailbreak, just mention no service.

No means No

okay! so after 45 mins. of doing the activation thing online via customer service chat. i'm still having the issue. they're telling me that i need a new sim and will be picking that up as soon as the nearest store opens up.

if this jb really fries your sim's i don't think they should've released it.

Maybe they didnt test it on CDMA's but you took the risk, you gotta remember these JBs are brought out cause winocm and ih8n0w were bombarded with release requests for over the last few months.

Every time I JB, i know the risks so i read up on all possible issues i might face with my particular model and backup every single piece of data I can. A few restores are always a high possibility with JB.

So aparently, these guys burnt a very valuable exploit with this release. They should have either used another one or not released it. No need to burn something that JB teams have held onto for quite a few years for a silly 6.1.4/5 JB.

Really really stupid.

Agreed.

Stupid, stupid morons. They have no right being in the jailbreak community any longer.

Idiots.

Those are some pretty strong feelings considering they have spent months of their spare time working on this jailbreak to no financial benefit for themselves, just the satisfaction of helping others to jailbreak...

It's divisive people like you that don't belong in the community in my opinion. You joined 3 days ago and you're already deciding who belongs in the community and who doesn't.

If you don't like how they did the jailbreak, don't use theirs and instead of complaining, build your own jailbreak from scratch.

Actually, I have. I have a working jailbreak for 7.1 beta 2.

Will I share it with anyone except family and friends? No. Because unlike irresponsible developers, I don't want to burn the exploits. But nice of you to pick and choose which of the critics to flame.

Why can't you just acknowledge that they did something helpful for people that wanted to stay on iOS 6 and be happy... They don't deserve to be called idiots for that. Or stupid, stupid morons. I'm sure they are some of the smartest people around.

Some people aren't skilled enough to make our own jailbreak and appreciate the work others do... Doesn't mean I'm stupid all around.

To that last point, saying they don't belong in the jailbreaking community at all is pretty extreme considering what they did was release a jailbreak.

Edit: you can have the last word, I'm not commenting on this again.

We can now all thank the short sighted, stubborn fools who refused to upgrade their phones for creating the demand for another iOS6 jailbreak.

Yep! The only complaint people have with 7 is it's look. Now that the JB is out for 7, they could just theme it. There's no reason to stay on 6.

This, 1000X. I have not heard a single complaint about iOS7 that could not be addressed with jailbreak tweaks/themes. I mean, I bet you an entire iOS6 theme will be made within a month. Add in some speed tweaks and you have iOS6 all over again.

What a shame.

Warning!!! Do not jailbreak CDMA iPhone with p0sixspwn

Anyone else have any issues with a CDMA phone or is this an isolated incident?

Okay...i know i got a little emotional but you have to hear me out here.

This is the first JB that made me lose service on my phone. I didn't have this kind of issue on past JB and i've been doing it since the 1st iPhone.

I don't get all the rants for staying in iOS 6 but don't we have a choice? i mean i've holded up pretty well since iOS 7 came out. but the point is they should've given an option.

As i wait for a fix. I just need to be able to at least get some part of my phone to work on calls/text again...anyone found a new method yet?
