Are you trying to have it backup information or anything? At this point I would definitely be telling it to delete everything and do a fresh install.

Off the topic

I think richthomas is right in thinking it came from the wifi. I just looked at the wifi block but I can't see any place where it might connect. I think it must be a very small post that the wire snaps on to and it looks like the wire is the right length for a wifi connection. Do you know where on the wifi module it should attach. Again it looks like the loose end (wifi end) of the wire has some kind of solderless connection. Here is a picture of the wire connection and the wifi module it should connect to somewhere.
Thanks All
Kman

I'm beginning to think it is the install disk I bought. It is only one disk and looks nothing like the OS X disks I see advertized on ebay. I think it maybe a single disk corporate version. It was advertized as Mac OS X Version 10.5.4 Leopard Full Retail Edition. I think I got burned.
What do you think?

No I don't think you got burned, I have a copy of Mac OS 10.5.3 and it is one disk. My iMac came with Mac OS 10.5.5 and it's basically one disk too.

If the disc is solid grey - that would sound like an OEM disc - which will not install on other machines. (all the OEM discs I've seen since Tiger have been grey)

If the disc is the retail version, it should be Black with a large X. (as my retail disc looks like this)

As for the # of discs, my iMac Tiger dvd is just a single dvd. Same goes for my retail copy of Leopard.

I bought a used Imac 17 duo core with out the start up discs. I installed a new hard drive and I bought a used Retail copy of Tiger 10.4.3 for my imac duo and it won't load up. This disc will load on my other Imac 20 just fine an I have also been able to get another os x 10.5 to install up to a point, much further then the Tiger. I have tried starting it with the c key down and I just get a folder with a blinking question mark. What's up?
Thanks
