I'll only watch an episode or so of TV shows on Netflix or Hulu during lunch at work. Otherwise, I don't use my phone to stream video -- that's usually reserved for my iPad and TV.

why would you do that?

Because I want a small, lightweight phone. I sold it for pretty much what I paid at launch.

There’s nothing I need from a phone that the SE can’t do, spending that much on a phone I didn’t like using was pointless to persevere with, losing more value the longer I kept it.

I do watch the occasional show/movie on my XSM, but when traveling I prefer the screen size, storage, and battery life of my iPad. Speakers are better, too, when not using headphones. And with the keyboard/stand I don’t have to hold it.

I actually have more storage on my phone, but it’s mostly filled with pictures and apps. In contrast my iPad has lots of empty storage for shows.

I do but I prefer my 120" projector screen with my projector at home.

I actually like watching movies on my iPhone. I’ve always purchased the larger screen phones because of it

Yes, I travel 9 months of the year and my iPhone is awesome to watch film. I watch blogs on it, surfing videos and iTunes Dolby Vision / Dolby Atmos films through my AirPods Pro.
I LOVE the experience.

Back home we have an LG B7 55" OLED TV with Apple TV 4K and i'll admit, I notice things more in a film on my iPhone rather than the huge TV screen.

Perfect combo iPhone with AirPods Pro and iTunes Dolby Vision/Atmos films AND Apple TV 4K for your TV.

My Fiancé has the SE and watching iTunes film on it is a very nice experience - buttery smooth motion!

NO!!!!!!! That's not true. I'd liken that more to diet or lack of a great diet with superfoods and exercise. People have been looking at screens for 25 years!

That reminds me of the SONY Walkman launch and loads of reports stating that there will be a new generation of people with complete deafness / hearing loss. Guess what? That really didn't happen did it?

It's eyes aging that is the problem and just with EVERYTHING with the human body it's about preserving it - things like ALCOHOL, drugs, preservative, processed gunk cause SEVERE ageing along with food filled with hormones, steroids, antibiotics and crap. As a MSc qualified Nutrionist and competing natural bodybuilder, I can tell you that it's diet and exercise that preserve OR damage those eyes - not your iPhone!

Wanna stay young - it's simple really travel, eat well and exercise (Don't sit indoors watching TV and binge watching as that really will age you and make you very fat / obese if not careful!!!!!!!!)
sure, sure if it makes you good; most phone users are in denial and are heavily addicted. Tv screen viewed from few meters away is I would say different than viewing phone screen so close to face and often reading etc...like I said more than half of staff at my dept now wear glasses and its not aging as many of then are in their 20s, ...not saying not to watch on occasion but I would not suggest often for sure

I often see TV adverts depicting people watching stuff on their phones while travelling by bus, train, whatever, and I've thought this: No! Nobody would really watch a TV show episode or a footie match on a small phone screen (small being less than forty inches) while on crowded public transport with a zillion distractions going on. This thread makes me realise how out of touch I am.

I watch movies on my X at work when not busy. Great screen. I am usually 2ft away and don't see any issue with that. The screen is very crisp.

What? Lots of people in my area commute 1 to 2 hours daily by bus to New York City. They all watch shows on their phones, iPads, and laptops out of boredom. Noise canceling headphones all around.

Sure, I’d prefer to watch my 60” 4K TV, too. But it’s not very portable. Plus this way I can watch my own shows and not have to be bothered by what the wife and kids want to watch.
