Until watchOS 26 is out to the public, they will update it once it’s out with these features

That sounds reasonable, but the older watches are updated with the other things from WatchOS 26 like Sleep Score. I'm going to assume it's an error. It would make me pretty mad if they us beta testing a new feature that we can't actually have unless we buy a new watch, and then pretend it's a hardware limitation. Also seems unethical to hype up an OS with features where some of them are actually only going to be available with yet-to-be-released hardware.

But surely Apple wouldn't do that, it's gotta be a typo.

When’d you checked the Apple website?
Before the Apple event or after it? Cos if you checked it before it wouldn’t have the series 11 listed.

Can someone confirm if I am crazy. I just updated my AWU2 to 26RC and noticed that the second hand on the module ultra face* is now "ticking" rather than a smooth/fluid line going around the boarder of the screen. Am I having a Mandela effect or is this new?

Is your iPhone updated to 26 RC too?

You need to update your phone too, they showed for me after.

I didn't know that you could update the Apple Watch past the what's on the iPhone. Regardless, yes, I updated the phone and then the watch. The issue eventually resolved itself after multiple hard reboots of my iPhone. All good now.

yup the latest build. Even to get the watchOS update that corresponds to the build of the iPhone update

If I'm trading in my Ultra 1 for the Ultra 3, is it ok to update my Ultra 1 to the public beta today?

Not sure if that would break any Ts & Cs or anything?

Bad night’s sleep. Always nice to have new features and complications on AWU1.
