So if I say more cars in America use rubber tires than stone tires, would you require me to source that?

Just how obvious does something have to be before you'll label it a 'fact?'

No. People didn't buy Sony's stuff. They changed.

When people stop buying Apple's stuff, Apple will change.

So the thread IS pointless. Change will come when people stop buying iPhones. That's all there is to it.

SONY changed because people wern't buying their crap! Again OP Point proven

Uhm, that's the opposite of what the OP is saying.

He's saying that the market doesn't work so we have to complain to all those sites. Doing that is the opposite of letting the market fix it, like it did with Sony.

People 'like that' spend way, WAY more money than people like you do. Mostly just because of their numbers.

Stone tires as oppose to rubber tires is evident to anyone with sight, easily verifiable.

Your other line about "like that' spend way, WAY more money than people like you do. Mostly just because of their numbers" is based on what, your gut feeling? Well you must have a big gut because your statement is insulting to the OP and for now reason. How do you know how much he can spend? How do you know how much other people who buy Iphones make?

Like I said, speculation not fact.

You mention the thread is pointless, yet you managed to try and make point, even though it was pathetic.

Ha ha, oh, I see. You just didn't understand what I was saying. Your response has absolutely nothing to do with my post.

I guess if you completely missed my point it would seem like speculation and not fact!

I guess try reading it again?

EDIT: Ok, here. I'll try it a different way.

People who like to tinker with their electronics: SMALLER number of people.
People who consider that nerdy and don't care: LARGER number of people.

That's my point and I'm pretty there's no reason to 'prove' that. The vast majority of people in my life fall into that second group.

Never mind, I see your avatar is a picture of a small white car. For me that explains everything.

None of your hypothetical situations are meaningful in this context. For example, Wal-mart is not the sole distributor of widgets. If WalMart doesn't sell your product, you are free to market, distribute, and sell on your own or through another company. Not so with the iPhone.

The problem with this rebuttal is that you're forgetting that Wal-Mart invented the Widget-o-matic, which is the only way to actually use widgets. Because they own the platform on and for which widgets are designed, produced, marketed and sold, Wal-Mart has the sole right to decide what widgets get sold in their store.

That's the biggest problem with all these "I hate the App Store process" threads. Every one of these seem to think ANYONE has the right to do anything they want and FORCE Apple to include it in the App Store, when in fact, Apple has every right to control what is made to work with their product and sold through their store.

Yes, Apple's process seems flawed. Yes, it needs to be fixed. But unfortunately, we don't have a say because we don't own the platform. If you don't like it, your only real recourse is to not buy Apple products and let them know the reason for it.
