Probably like they can show taking the phone into the rain or getting sprayed by sprinklers or water splashing from a pool, and then still not cover any liquid damage.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I thought it's not supposed to be damaged by water

They said it was splash proof not water proof. Big difference. But the wallpapers are not advertised as anything more than showing a display. The way you speak I suppose Apple should include the stock pictures that they take to show off the camera? Wallpapers should be the least of anyone's concern. Bugs in iOS 10 should be addressed before I care about Wallpapers I can't delete and will never use.

Don't even remember which stock desktop wallpaper I used more than 1 hour. Yes, "more than 1 hour".
Always use my customised one, as they fit my taste better.
Perhaps if I cannot get new stock wallpapers I would feel a bit sad but that's it.

I can show you better than I can tell you.

How can you show that, and not ship the phone with that wallpaper?

We went out and bought the phones. And sure enough, you could do that with the wallpaper.

That's what they did with the iPhone 7, and they didn't deliver.

I guess the iPhone 7 is doomed to failure then. NOBODY would buy a phone that had a wallpaper in a promo shot but didn't have it built in.

That's why the MacBook failed, of course, because it didn't ship with the bubble wallpaper in its initial reveal video.

Seems like plenty of people who don't care about emojis are spending a lot of time trying to make a big deal of some emoji updates that were included too. Juxtapositions abound.

Emojis are totally different; they are system level and cannot be changed.

All one has to do is download the image from Safari and set it as wallpaper. I just cannot see the big stink here that it wasn't included.

That's kind of what I was alluding to. That unimportant things seem to get way too much attention just because it's simpler to come up with some sort of "outrage" about them and digs at Apple.

A wallpaper would have icons or the lock screen info in front of it. I've used a wallpaper. I've seen wallpaper. Wallpaper has become a friend of mine. That is no wallpaper.

WRONG. This IS a wallpaper. And we GET this wallpaper. We have it on our phones right now.

No, a wallpaper would not have anything else on it. A phone's lockscreen would have that. A wallpaper is a wallpaper.

Like I TOLD you. I can SHOW you, BETTER than I can tell you.

Did you actually see the video in question? If that were a wallpaper, there would be something in front of it. At no time does an iPhone or iPad display a full screen wallpaper without anything in front of it.

Apple is the one who invented live wallpaper. And now they're not giving us the LIVE WALLPAPER that they promised

Apple's phones at the store, do display the live wallpapers exactly like how you see in the video, without anything in front of it. They do EXACTLY like what you see in that video.

You can make your phone do that. Use that live wallpaper as a screensaver. You have to have the wallpaper first. Which we have.
